More heartbreak for alarmists.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Big News of the week: i did noit win the lottery either!
Steven, you are becoming desperate. The Passagea should not be open at all. It is utterly absurd that you think that this is special enough to write about it!
Factualy it is you alarmist warmists who are becoming more and more desperate . You are grasping about for anything to hang the agw scam on and that is becoming more apparent to more and more people . From screams that arctic ice volume in the summer is proof of global warming to trying to pump up storms into hurricanes to manipulating the historical temperatures in a down direction to boosting up the present day temperatures to reporting non-existent sea level rise to claiming the missing global heat is hidden deep in the ocean etc. etc. and on adnaseum . Hahahahahahahaha , you are like stupid children who have not yet learned that people can see when you are lying .
SOD:
In spite of what you were told, the NW Passage is often open to travel, or it was in the recorded past.
Definitely more ice in the NW passage this year than last it must be said.
Andy
JAXA Arctic sea ice extent figure for 8/28: 3,996,406 square kilometers. 258,125 square kilometers below the 2007 record minimum and first reading below 4,000,000 square kilometers.
OMG slightly below some incorrect meaningless number
Steven:
It is really serious when the meaningless numbers they are giving us now are lower than the meaningless numbers they gave us just a few years ago!
It is a “Death Spiral” and soon they will not have any more meaningless numbers to give out. The will have to start giving put negative numbers to describe the ice conditions in the Arctic. Next year we will probably see minus four million kilometers square of ice in the Arctic. 😉
According to the NOAA the ice extent is greater than it was in 2007 and 2011
http://www.natice.noaa.gov/new_look/products/ice_extent_graphs/arctic_weekly_ice_extent.html
The truth is the it isn’t quite as simple as some people are making out. The ice has been broken up by a storm, but it’s still there, and it wasn’t there in 2007. We’re not talking about crushed replacing solid ice we’re talking about crushed ice replacing open water (i.e. how it was in 2007). A step back from 2011, but still a step forward from the all time low.
You can expect a very strong recovery next year on the Satellite measurements.
MASIE is now losing ice extent as the less than 15% melts out
http://nsidc.org/data/masie/index.html
That tongue of ice is quite puzzling, you would have expected that to melt out before the blob nearer to the actual main ice that the passive microwaves pick up,
Any thoughts Steve on that hook ?
I have no idea what can account for that.
