A big storm broke up the ice in the Chukchi Sea and got our friends all excited this week, but their fun is about to come to a crashing halt.

Well , I take no position on the state of the ice because I think nature will do what it will do . I am sure though that 300 co2 or 400 co2 doesn’t make any difference to the ice . I do have a pretty fair stock of firewood though and I will likely add to it so I should have heat whatever weather the winter brings. If I keep the house nice and warm the wife will make pies and cookies and bread and other goodies , so I will do what a mans gotta do to keep my good deal going in the manner in which I want to be accustomed . I gotta go now as I’ve fresh crisps and milk waiting for me .

It will be interesting to see what happens to the area of ice affected by this polar low when the polar low weakens .My feeling is that ice will return to that area. The ice is still melting and that is what I think will determine how low the ice extent is this year. The party is not over in the arctic for the pigs who will benifit from any oil that is produced there because the price of oil is too high.
