Visualizing The Petermann Nonsense

Every few years, a chunk of ice calves off the Petermann glacier in Greenland and floats away. That is what glaciers do, when they reach the sea.  The image below is from 2010

The glacier then advances and another chunk breaks off – like this summer.

Each time this completely normal and natural cyclical event happens, the press and a few scientists get hysterical and tell us that something unusual is happening. Because they are complete idiots.

I’ve quit thinking they are complete idiots and come to the conclusion they are corrupt and have an agenda.

  2. MFKBoulder says:

Of cause they have an agenda:

to bring you to you optometrist. Since you aren’t able to see the differrence of 2008 and 2012.
If Steven would have the guts to show pre 2008 pritures you meight even see better the changes. They aren’t dramatic but they are there.

    • I did find some pictures of angels dancing on the head of a pin, and would happy to post them for you. Grow up. Get a life.

The hysterical rants of the AGW crowd are growing tiresome. The Warmists have little to cheer about these days as their pet theory crumbles. So when a glacier calves, they break out in paroxyms of joyous alarmism. “The arctic is melting, the arctic is melting!” The fact that glaciers have been growing and melting for millions of years is simply ignored in their fervor to preserve the infantile CO2-is-warming-the-planet scare story.

Please change “when the reach the sea” to “when they reach the sea”. I would like to link to this.

  4. tckev says:

What is it about glaciers? They all will break-up soon or later.
The sooner we have an ice-free Arctic the better then the idiots can shut-the-*****-up about them.
Unfortunately it will not be in my lifetime! So I’ll have to get used to those intellectually challenged clod-heads babbling on about in insignificant (but beautiful) act of nature.
