Attorney General Eric Holder told reporters in Cuernavaca, Mexico, where he and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano met with their Mexican counterparts, that they will move forward with efforts to stem illegal smuggling with the laws currently in place in the US.
“I don’t think our Second Amendment will stand in the way of the efforts we have begun,” Holder said during a press conference.
The USBureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) says that, of the weapons seized and traced at scenes of drug violence, over 90 percent can be traced to the US.
Some question that figure, since not all seized weapons are traced, but when asked whether the figure is a myth, Mr. Holder replied that, regardless of the actual statistic, the vast majority of weapons, particularly the high-powered ones, are coming from the US and are aggravating the Mexican government’s efforts.

Translation.
We gave thousands of semi-automatic rifles to Mexican drug gangs, so that we could hold a press conference blaming Americans for what we did. We were hoping that this would provide impetus to further weaken the second amendment.
We weren’t expecting to get caught after Americans started getting killed by the guns provided by the White House
In response to the WH claim that 90% of the drug-related guns were US, the ATF corrected the administration, pointing out that it is really only 15%, with the vast majority of the weapons being RUSSIAN made. Knowing that they were lying, I guess Fast and Furious was a way to corrent this under-representation of US products in drug trafficking.

I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again, the most trans-errant administration in history.
Proudly brought to you by the Insane Left (patent pending).
…pending on the November election, that is.
I no longer worry as I once did about the government trying to infringe 2nd Amendment rights. The fact that our current Prersident was out of touch with how the majority of Americans feel about their rights was never a threat to overcome the lesson his fellow politicians in Congress learned. They would rather take on Social Security reform than take another shot at restricting firearms.
Even when the Administration attempted what they likely thought of as a simple, yet brilliant move to keep used casings from US citizens by selling them only to China. That decision lasted something like a couple of weeks before they had to back track.
Don’t you love it when people think they are smarter than the rest of us.
