By The Year 2030, The Arctic Will Be Ice Free And The Cubs Will Win The World Series

Yes Steven, but I don’t think you’re a qualified expert on this topic. To do that you would have to waste billions of taxpayer dollars on computer models and spend untold amounts of time brown nosing politicians. I believe that is the only way to convince morons like Appell whose ego the earth revolves around. The rest of us know you are kidding.
Is this the money quote?
“About 80 per cent of the summer sea-ice has been lost since 1979; on current trends the Arctic will be ice-free in summer by 2015 and ice-free all year by 2030 – events that were not expected to occur for another 100 years.”
Ian Dunlop appears to be a peak oil uber eco club-o-rome alarmist.
The confidence in his predictions is refreshing.
“on current trends”!
Therein lies the fallacy.
How many times have we heard that?
Reality? In my climate models?
Anyways, any predictions of ice loss are the same as predicting whether or nots ghosts are in your house. Same nonsense. It’s only a while only people get tired of it.
Ya, you’re right, neither is going to happen.
The facts are, with rifting and/or high level volcanic eruptions, the planet cools in day/weeks, not years/decades.
The extreme cooling events known from our planets history are those that present a very bad scene for hemispherical life of all natures.
The minimal warmth seen over the satellite era is what it is and is a non-event, unless you consider a couple of good El Nino’s as such.
Scare mongering means money, whether it’s the 70’s, today or anytime money & control meant something throughout history!
You must have seen Back to the Future II .. too!… 🙂
Ice melts, big deal.
But the Cubs winning the World Series, is truly an end times scenario.
I cant believe it, Arctic ice melting in a very warm part of the AMO..
This is just ground breaking, and i think another study is in order.
In the meantime im still waiting from Hansen and Gore’s Antarctic pics.
