Republican Mitt Romney’s reeling campaign hit more trouble on Tuesday after new video surfaced showing him saying that Palestinians do not want peace and a resolution of their conflict with Israel was not possible.
“I look at the Palestinians not wanting to see peace anyway, for political purposes, committed to the destruction and elimination of Israel, and these thorny issues, and I say there’s just no way,” Romney said in the secretly recorded video of a closed-door May fundraiser in Florida.
Bill Clinton pursued the peace process relentlessly, and during his last few months there was a suicide bombing in Jerusalem just about every other day. Lefties love it when they see Jews getting dismembered by Palestinian children wearing nail bombs laced with rat poison.
The images are the second from a video of the event that was published by liberal magazine Mother Jones. Romney was already in damage control from the first, which showed him describing President Barack Obama’s supporters as victims who are too dependent on government and unwilling to take responsibility for their own lives.
Has anything more accurate ever been said during a presidential campaign?

Romney is too honest! Sometimes the truth is a painful thing to hear. Maybe that will help him in the long run.
I’m one that sees this as a great opportunity for Romney. The delusional nuts have started to believe their own bull$hit. Romney nails it.
His outspoken honesty is refreshing, most mealie mouthed politicos lie through their teeth every time they move their lips. Hope he gets the job just for saying how it is.
Even this is a symptom of political correctness.
Because the girly-men of the (R) party have been too chicken to call the domestic enemy (D) party as what they are, Democratic Socilaists. Some kind of crazy fear to associate DingleBarry with the welfare state because of the phony charge of racism, even though DingleBarry is clearly the most Communist of all prior candidates in our history, by far.
By shying away from using a self-evident description like Socialist they have allowed the enemy to act all upset when a tape of a lukewarm accuracy ( the Romney quote ) surfaces. If they had been calling them Socialists ( what they are ) all along for the past decade or so, this would have never happened. The (D)’s by now would have been wary of brazen and naked outright Socialism.
The (R) party is a bunch of cowardly girls. Grow a friggin pair!
Unfortunately the (D) party is far worse, having enslaved and segregated my people, leaving many of us without a party at all.
Given what is happening at PBS about Anthony Watts, no wonder a lot of “journalists” toe the party line.
I have just sent this feedback to the PBS Ombudsman:
Yep. The phony intellectuals are in a tizzy.

The combination of arrogance and ignorance in these people is astounding.
Why did Ralph Cicerone, President of NAS, in a BBC interview said “the evidence doesn’t support CAGW”? Maybe PBS could interview him along with the Nasa astronauts and scientists who feel the same as Watts. I maintain only a handful of scientists support CAGW and will not go past talking about AGW into “doomland.” It’s a fine line between being an intelligent being and being labeled a crackpot, like Gore or Hansen. Thinking people don’t want to take that chance.
Another very smart, honest politician couldn’t get elected. His name was Winston Churchill. Only after the Luftwaffe started dropping tons of bombs on London did the population wake up.
Later he saved the world.
Get your story straight Michael , American GIs saved the world with the help of English , Australian , New Zealand , and French troops. And the Russians weren’t exactly standing around . Although I agree that Winston Churchill was a strong English leader .
Don’t forget us Canadians …we have never lost a war.
He probably did save the world. As Jon Lukacs put it, at the crucial hour he didn’t lose. Maybe the GIs would have done it anyway, but it would have been even harder than it was. (No jump-off place to Normandy, for instance.)
The problem is Romney is too much of a pussy to say these things publicly, and even if he wasn’t, he is too inarticulate (like Bush II & UNLIKE Reagan) to phrase them in an amusing way which would pursuade the voters to agree with him (like Reagan). I fear we working and taxpaying citizens are lost……………..
Can’t disagree.
Leave it to the (R)’s, aka the stupid party to nominate this guy. A northeast liberal, governor of Massachusetts no less, who supports socialized medicine thus neutralizing the big issue that drove the 2010 congressional wipe-out. He already shows signs of being marble-mouthed like Bush 43.
He could have added Allen West to the ticket to add some balls and shore up the black vote ( don’t get me wrong, Ryan is okay by me but should be Speaker of the House, not wasted on VP ).
Ah well. If they lose this thing I am praying that the Republicrat machine is destroyed once and for all, and salvation will come from outsiders and newcomers who care about the Constitution and not the party.
Palin/West 2016.
