1886 was the most active hurricane season on record in the US, but the storms were across the pond too. Climate experts say that this sort of hurricane activity is impossible without human intervention, because they are complete morons.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

It’s strange how that worked out, where back then the weather man was a climate expert and now climate experts are on the weather mans case!
…and again two months later:
“DESTRUCTIVE STORMS IN ENGLAND.
LONDON, DEC. 8.
A terrific gale has been raging for the last twenty-four hours over England and Ireland..”

I spent over a month compiling reports of weather events like this one from 1900-2012. Heatwaves, hurricanes, floods, droughts, forest fires and severe winters were all killers and effected people a lot worse during the most part of the 20th century, it was interesting to see severe winters making a comeback as the fatalities from freezing winters began to rise again this century.
(haven’t got around to finish it since I mistakenly copied over the latest copy with the old copy, the latest copy went back as far as the 1700s) D’oh!
Just added your blog to my read list, Sparks! Thanks for being there!
