The US Drought Monitor says that the area around Fort Collins is abnormally dry.
The reservoirs are full, snow pack is far above normal, the river is about to flood, and the area is by far the greenest anyone can remember. I took this picture yesterday evening. It looks more like Scotland than Colorado. Loch Oich perhaps?
That IS very green. And there’s the monster, at the far left in the water(!) An idyllic natural scene. (Ah, Colorado–the postcard state).
There wouldn’t be a barbecue next to the picnic table in Scotland. 🙂
I don’t know Steve, the boulder on the left looks pretty dry.
Wait, wait … I see sand around that picnic table. Looks to me like Colorado is turning into a desert wasteland.
To have it that green while abnormally dry (in a dry place) is unprecedented! Must be that evil droughtflood again. All due to Republican white males, who love guns and beat their wives.
