Arctic ice extent is the highest for the date in at least 12 years.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

And the polar bears are pissed!
in american pissed means angry
in aussie drunk
here in Aussie it can mean “angry” as well.
“pissed off”
Only 106 days to go before the Aussie carbon tax, introduced by the worst government EVER, is kicked into touch (ie repealed).

The man paddled into the estuary of the Don River, near Aberdeen. A strange sight he was too, in his peculiar clothes and a boat that was not a boat. At least not the sort of boat anyone had seen before, except in books. From 1690 AD to 1728 AD, Eskimos paddling their kayaks had made similar visits to the Orkney Islands, 200 km farther north than Aberdeen and only 900 km from Iceland; but this far south the appearance of an Eskimo was cause for concern (Lamb, 1995). The problem was the sea had become too cold for cod and the fisheries were failing.
During the 20th century, ships could pass between Greenland and Denmark; but in 1695 AD, the worst year of the 17th century, sea ice surrounded Iceland for many months and cold water extended far to the south and east. Colder winters and cooler summers brought starvation not only to Icelanders, but to Scots and Norwegians as well, and a century later caused the failure of the potato harvest in Ireland and its depopulation.
The cooling had started centuries before, but was to become more persistent The Earth is still recovering from the Little Ice Age and that human activity is a minor factor in global climate change. For how long the climate will continue to warm and by how much is uncertain. If the past is any guide, the year 500 AD suggests a possible scenario. Applied to the modern period, the scenario would give 100 years of warming from 1900 AD to the present, 50 years of cooling to 2050 AD, 50 years of warming to 2100 AD, followed by 300 years of cooling. ???

Would you like a vast sheet of ice off Virginia Beach? Why is ice in the Arctic desirable?
Saint Al of the Gore: you WILL pay your carbon (icicle) tax for global warming (cooling), based on phoney-baloney climate data, to my off-shore corporation, or else!
This graph must surely be for the Rotten Ice.
Eh, it’s the “al Qaeda” ice.
Brrrrrr, this global warming is just b..b..brrrrrrr AWFUL! Our fearless leaders had better save us and get that carbon tax up and running. Yes. That’s it. A tax will cool the earth off beautifully. BRRRRRR!
These scraggly caloric deficient (except Gore) scumbags speak of tipping points, yet are clueless about the cause and effects that change everything within our climate including oceanic current disruptions, upper atmospheric temperature changes, jet stream anomalies, particle matter distributions throughout the spheres and solar wavelengths interaction with our planets natural fields and all matter that resides within.
It could be that adding some animal fat, cheese and ice-cream to their diets, would be a cure to their twisted view of life!
The current ice extent is higher, just like last year. However, it is thinner than in most previous years. Expect it to drop lower than 2011 and probably lower than 2013. If you really want to know what is happening, look at figures for volume, not just extent. For that matter, if you really want to know what is happening, look at a significant amount of dta and treands, don’t just cherry pick the ones that agree with your current view. It is amazing what an open mind can learn, if it is willing.
