A California father of four died Wednesday shortly after a group of police allegedly beat him with batons as he lay defenseless on the sidewalk. Cops, before confiscating witness’ cameras, also reportedly unleashed a canine unit on him.
David Sal Silva, 33, allegedly resisted when police approached
him to ask if he was who neighbors called about to complain of an intoxicated man in the area. The officers called for backup and, witnesses told the Bakersfield Californian, Silva was soon being beaten in the face and upper body by as many as nine policemen and their batons. At least one of the cops reportedly held a German Shepherd on a leash nearby.Witnesses who had recorded the events on their cell phone
cameras had the devices confiscated by officers, who claimed the footage was part of a police investigation that could yield
evidence. The Sherriff’s Department has released the names of seven officers who were on the scene, but the identities of the
California Highway Patrol police who were also there have not yet been made public.“When I got outside I saw two officers beating a man with
batons, and they were hitting his head so every time they would
swing, I could hear the blows to his head,” said witness Ruben

Obama wants to disarm American citizens and have a massively armed police force.
Maybe we could really use those new Google glasses. At a minimum, carry a compact digital voice recorder at all times. It’s sad that we’ve reached this point, isn’t it?
So as fully trained police officers, they beat the life out of this suspected criminal.
The Afghan Taliban would be proud of such effective methods of policing by intimidation. And Californian are paying their taxes for this?

Homeland Security now has enough weapons and bullets to kill everyone of you several times over – just in case you thought revolution might be a possible solution.

Disturbing case, but I wonder why is there no mention in any of the news stories of a widow of this “father of four young children?”
One more reason why I moved far from the city. In urban areas the cops are at war with much of the population, and it is an adversarial relationship. On the local news, I see cops getting blown away in the city where I work about twice a year, and civilians gunning each other down everyday.
Out where I live, we work hand in hand with our sheriffs and deputies to keep families and property secure. It is the most peaceful place on Earth, and I would rather die than live in an urban area.
