In 2001, The Guardian announced the imminent evacuation of Tuvalu.
Good thing they didn’t go to England, which disappeared in the year 2000.

I wounder how much they want for their, condemned to inundation, island?
The UK is also more doomed, again, by 2080, no less!

I’d prefer the tropical island than the UK. thanks all the same.
So that recent visit to Tuvalu by the Duchess of Cambridge? I guess she had to wade all over the island in her wellies?
The country’s population has more than doubled since 1980 with a growth rate of 0.702%. The population at the 2002 census was 9,561, and was estimated to reach 10,544 in July 2010.

According to the NZ 2006 census figures from Statistics NZ the Tuvaluan population in NZ is around 2625 and forms the 7th largest Pacific Island ethnic group in NZ.
Well I can tell you they did not come to NZ to get away from AGW/CC. They came to NZ for a better standard of living and opportunities.
Along with many other Ethnic Pacific Island groups. Samoans are the largest Pacific Island ethnic group in NZ at over 130,000. Cook Islanders are the second largest and Tongans are the 3rd largest Pacific Island ethnic groups.
After reading that story and comparing it to actual reality how could any “denier” have doubts about the dead certainty of AGW alarmism.
So what was the outcome of this “imminent evacuation”?
Did they actually bail on their little paradise and move or stay put?
Sounds like a fine story to keep shoving down the throats of those idiots that read this
PravdaGuardian trash.Excellent find in the grauniad, Mr Goddard. I shall be using this one quite a bit.
