There seems to be a pattern here.
I don’t put alot of stock in what the parents of terrorists say, and I have always maintained that it is a good idea to move slowly when being held by armed men. If this guy charged the agent with his head down, he likely would have received a round in the top of his head. And if I had been the agent, and knowing what I know about these monsters, I might have emptied my weapon as well.
Obviously the deceased was not a Boy Scout.

A woman was shot and killed at a Costco in Loudon County. She was handing out pizza samples and started to act “erractic”. Police were called and said she came at them with a knife. I would think tasering and pepper spray could have been used besides of the danger of firing rounds in a store full of people. If a cops can’t evade a woman with a knife and take her out with killing her, then something is terribly wrong.
I think she was tasered, but didn’t stop.
You may be right that they could have restrained her without firing, but if you’ve ever been in fear for your life or severe harm, every split second decision counts.
The OP situation as I read it, the deceased attacked the FBI agent. The details are still not clear, but sorry, I don’t buy the idea the guy was just another innocent bystander.

The lady was from the Philippines and most likely a small lady. She was upset that she had ran out of pizza and the question remains that if she came toward the officers with the knife in her hand without any intentions of harming anybody and didn’t understand what was going on. Did it ever occur to them that a communication problem might exist?
A customer said she served her prior to the incident and she was very nice. I still maintain that if 8 policemen, as reported, couldn’t do something to avoid killing this woman. They could have avoided her long enough to get a taser that worked.
One of them had to have one that worked. 8 policemen can’t take a knife away from a presumably small Filipino woman?
I agree that with Obama’s lack of credibility is disconcerting, but I don’t mind seeing terrorists taken out before they take us out. Of course, Obama may decide we are terrorists, so I know what you mean.
If we abandon the rule of law, we are doomed.
