Whether or not temperature is rising is no longer based on actual temperature data, but on the fact that CO2 emissions are rising, so temperatures *should* be rising, even if they can’t measure it.
Also, the alleged effects of rising temperatures, e.g. “extreme weather” are also deemed to be increasing, even if there is nothing to prove that, so again, temperatures must be rising.
In this “looking glass” world, actual evidence of rising temperatures is no longer required, and even falling temperatures are evidence of “global warming”.
I am afraid that it will be increasingly difficult to win the argument against such perverted logic.
I know how to cherry-pick this CACC.
From 1998 to 2001, the temperature trend was -12.7 C/century. From 2009 to 2012, the temperature skyrocketed to -4 C/century.
That is a global warming rate increase of more than a factor of three in just 10 years.
We are doomed; doomed, I say.
