When Adam Lanza started shooting his way through the door at Sandy Hook Elementary, the principal realized that the only thing that would stop him was somebody else with a gun.
Being disarmed herself, the only thing she could do was to call for someone else with a gun, i.e. the police. They showed up long after the damage had been done. According to CNN, it took the police 20 minutes to get there.
It didn’t have to be that way. If she had a rifle in the closet, the outcome almost certainly would have been very different. All of those children would have opened their Christmas presents. Hard to imagine her ultimate nightmare of being unable to defend herself and the children.
Within hours, Bloomberg, Feinstein and Obama were all over this, seeing it as an opportunity to make everyone else defenseless too. The last thing they want is a strong, self-reliant citizenry.

With neighbors like that, you’d feel righteous buying a few hand cannons:)
The last thing they want are old white guys like me willing to fight to keep what they’ve worked for, and who have played by their rules while doing so. Here’s how liberals/socialists/progressives/Marxists play the game–keep changing the rules . . . “maybe we’ll grandfather you in.” Of course, you’ll have to make a small donation to the “cause.”
Here’s my donation. You walk into my place of business, I still rule. You break into my home, you will walk no more on the face of God’s earth.
““The FBI takes very seriously any shooting incidents involving our agents and as such we have an effective, time-tested process for addressing them internally,” FBI spokesman Paul Bresson said in a statement Wednesday.”

Tea Party, Democrats team up to block lawmakers looking for gun perks
In Texas, the House defeated a measure on Sunday that would have given prosecuting attorneys and lawmakers permission to carry guns anywhere they wanted to in the state. Just 38 lawmakers voted for it, while 103 voted against.
Current Texas law restricts concealed handgun license holders from taking their weapons into schools, bars, sporting events and federal buildings.
Democratic state Rep. Ryan Guillen of Rio Grande City originally introduced a bill to loosen those regulations for prosecutors. But when an amendment giving lawmakers the same rights was tacked on the bill, many backed out and accused Guillen of pulling a bait-and-switch.

Brits want their guns back:

“where firearms are most dense violent crime rates are lowest, and where guns are least dense violent crime rates are highest.”
Nice! 🙂
And I would wager that in the areas where guns are least dense (violent crime rates are highest), it is the criminals who have most of those guns.
