The mean daily temperature in the center of the Greenland ice sheet has averaged -36C this year, with a maximum afternoon temperature of -16C on March 15.
Hansen now says that melt water from Greenland is flooding the North Atlantic and will cause hurricanes to get worse. He appears to have had a severe electrical malfunction in his brain this week.
