We already have eight inches of snow on the west side of Fort Collins, and are expected to get near the all-time low temperature record for May tonight.
As global warming experts would explain, all of the cold air and snow is due to the fact that fossil fuel powered warm air holds more moisture. Or missing Arctic ice. Or Chinese aerosols. Or Heat sinking to the bottom of the ocean. Or they haven’t had a chance to adjust the temperatures yet. Or 97% of experts say that it is not snowing …..

We’re less than half a day into May and we’ve now seen above average monthly snowfalls for the last four months: Feb through May. I think we just missed the April historical record value…if this storm had hit even 6 hrs earlier we likely would’ve gotten it. I’ll do some analysis once the official April number comes in…we may set stuff like April-May combined records and the like.

Manitoba and Saskatchewan were blasted yesterday as well (different storm). Four to 12″ of snow, blizzard winds and major road closures. The all-time low for May 1 where I live is -9C- tonight is to be -13C. We are sending this blessing all the way to Texas just for Hey Hoe! Eh?!
The climate is merely a matter of forces beyond the ability of human beings to influence or predict. It has always been so and will continue to be.
I set a record cold day at my house with -9.5C, previous record was -9.4C in 1913. When i read the temp, it was still going down, so I can only assume it will be colder when i read the Min tonight.
However, please remember this is just weather. Last year, in the spring it was CAGW.
