To brain-dead leftists it doesn’t matter because Barry is in office. It only matters if they can use it to get some political advantage.

  2. Rosco says:

I really do not understand the continued support for the rebels – read potential extremist muslim regimes – by the west.

Of course you do not understand it.
      It is incomprehensible.
There would be something wrong with you if you did understand it.

The only thing that matters to cankles regarding the embassy attack is her political future. She will spend exceedingly more on her upcoming Presidential run than she did to protect her fellow employees at State.
And no doubt the old media will continue to provide better cover for her than the State Department provided for their Libyan Embassy personnel while they were under attack.
Where was Barry during those eight hours?

  4. John B., M.D. says:

    (text I wrote elsewhere):
Hillary asked, “What difference does it make?”
    1) If you don’t know what caused a problem, you won’t know how to prevent it from recurring the next time. It is a national security issue. (Same phenomenon happens whenever there is an attempted terrorist attack and the left refuses to acknowledge that islamic extremists might be responsible, instead favoring blaming the right-wing militias/Tea Party/lone wolf).
    2) The families who lost loved ones will live with the ongoing pain of knowing their government has lied to them repeatedly. Like pouring salt in the wounds. Just listen to family when they give interviews, the pain in their voices.
    3) People died, Hillary lied. Now we know the talking points were changed by still unnamed person(s) at the State Department, who was also responsible for security arrangements in Benghazi. Since no one was held accountable, these same people are in positions of power at State, making who knows what errors.
    4) People died, Obama lied, 6 times during his speech to the U.N., blaming the video. When our President lies in that forum, the credibility of the U.S. is harmed on the world stage.
    5) People died, Rice lied, on 5 Sunday shows. I cannot imagine she was so stupid (she is a Rhodes scholar, after all) that she didn’t know she was not telling the truth. She directly contradicted the Libyan President, and undercut his credibility at a time he needed to maintain credibility. This was irresponsible. “Our intelligence was better.” In fact, there never was ANY “intelligence” that the video was related at all.
    6) People died, Carney lied, and lied, and lied, and lied. Ask yourself, do you take Carney at his word when he gives the press the daily briefing, or do you stop listening since you never know when he’s telling the truth? This helps perpetuate the two sides not listening to each other in Washington.

So, it makes a lot of difference. And incidentally, it makes a difference to Hillary if she wants to run for President. Strike 1 – “vast right-wing conspiracy.” Strike 2 – dodged “sniper fire.” Strike 3 – if denied security (i.e. removed it, despite two prior attacks at the consulate) in Libya, then tried to cover-up her mistake by blaming a stupid video and passing the buck to intelligence agencies saying they changed the talking points, and lying to the families of those lost on the tarmac, then showing righteous indignation at her hearing.

Obama would have beaten Romney by 10 points if he had simply told the truth from the beginning, stayed engaged with his national security team in the Situation Room (where’s THAT photo?) on 9/11/12, not spent time working on his speech the next day in Las Vegas, threw Hillary under the bus, and rallied the country behind him by showing resolve and patriotism in the ongoing war on terror. That would have been too simple. When you tell the truth, it is much easier to keep the story straight.

    • I. Lou Minotti says:

Amen, Doc. Telling the truth means you don’t have to remember your lies. With that in mind, I don’t recall hearing reports of this man lying to anyone, let alone the American public: “When a president lies to the American people and is part of a cover-up, he cannot continue to govern . . . as the facts come out, I think we’re going to see something startling. And before it’s over, I don’t think this president will finish his term . . .” (Mike Huckabee, “Obama will be ousted over Benghazi”).
