Why do Americans glorify athletes on steroids?

Americans condemn Lance Armstrong, and glorify entire leagues of steroid abusers.
The Soylent Green Corporation prefers the latter individual as well.
Hammerin’ Hank was one of my heroes when I was growing up, along with all of the guys from The Big Red Machine. (Yeah, I know, different teams, but the Reds trained in Tampa, so they were our team.) Barry Bail Bonds’ HR’s should be thrown out of all the record books and Hank restored to his rightful place as King of the Long Ball.
Here’s one professional American athlete with his head screwed on right, and may his tribe increase.
