Climate change is the only problem in history which has a time limit. If we are too late it’s irreversible, it’s a race. It’s my generation’s responsibility to fight climate change. It’s a threat that can lead to the collapse of human civilization.

Amazing. An increase of 0.0001 mole fraction of an odorless, colorless, largely inert gas will destroy civilization.
These nut jobs make Harold Camping seem like a serious individual.
Me too..
Witches are the only problem in history which have a time limit. If we are too late it’s irreversible, it’s a race. It’s my generation’s responsibility to fight witches. It’s a threat that can lead to the collapse of human civilization.
I was born in 1568 and all the evil weather and climate change was caused by witches, proven by the mere fact we said so. But what’s this.. umm.. “carbon” you speak of – is it made by witches?
We should speak to the political point he represents. If it wasn’t AGW it would be another collectivist meme that a part of the left-wing society would focus on. AGW is a political movement at the core, if there are genuine nut jobs along the way they will tolerated as long as they perpetuate the general talking points. If they go too far (which they do all the time) the general “mainstream” will ignore and rationalize the behavior (or not in many cases).
AGW isn’t an irrational craze in itself and alone. It’s a political green cultural and political focus that can be tracked back to the 60’s or even as far back as the Populist hatred of J.D. Rockefeller. It’s where many extremes converge.
The mainstream debate largely marginalizes this central point, often assisted by skeptics who follow “it’s about science” theme. That’s how AGW fear politics has gone on way longer than you might think in a modern society.
Agreed. My view is to lavish upon its adherents the ridicule this fantasy so richly deserves. Humiliate them.
“fight climate change”
Sacrifice your future to fight a reification fallacy.
I think what he is saying is that if it in fact got a few degrees warmer we’d all end up looking and behaving like people who live in Miami. If that doesn’t mean the collapse of civilisation as we know it, it’s hard to know what would.
Having recently seen “Cougar Town” on TV, I agree with you (although my oldest sister lives down in that neck of the woods–well, central Florida–so don’t tell her I said so).
It’s a threat that can lead to the collapse of human civilization.
He says that as if it would be a bad thing.
The atmosphere of Uranus has 2% methane which is claimed to be a powerful GHG and it absorbs more energy than it emits, which means Uranus does not exhibit having a greenhouse effect, The green house theory ‘cant’ and does not account for the absence of the so called “green house effect” on Uranus.
Do some people actually believe some of that junk science that they are trying to get us to believe?
These green nut jobs would make Joseph Goebbels proud !
“Climate change is the only problem in history which has a time limit.”
Well thanks for saving me time. After that dumbass statement there is no need to read any further. First time limited problem in history, what a schmuck.
