Yesterday we had the first warm summer day in Barcelona. If you don’t believe me just ask my tomatoes.
I have had the coldest Spring in memory, and the earliest tomatoes. Granted I get a head start on planting, but having my first tomato on Memorial Day was a new record by over a month, and two months ahead of schedule.

I live in south central France, and can assure everyone who may have the slightest doubt, this year so far has been perishing. The cherries and strawberries in my garden have failed for the second year in a row. In the last few days until yesterday (when it was slightly less cold), the maximum daytime temperature (Davis Pro 2 wireless weather station) here has not passed 9.5 degrees C.
Nine point five degrees! This time last year, it was 26 degrees.
But, of course, I am experiencing “weather”, not “climate”, apparently.
However, be comforted that the illustrious Met Office, in their “wisdom” (although they have difficulty with short term forecasting), have predicted that in say, fifty, or maybe 100 years, or perhaps one day in the next millennium, the Former UK will experience a “Mediterranean Climate”,
Take it from me, you wouldn’t want MY Mediterranean Climate, the way it is at the moment.
Global Warming. It makes you want to spit.
No ‘Cherry Picking’ this year.

Just wait till there is a global cooling with creeping glaciers etc- human activity will be blamed again. ONLY ending industrialization, ending wide scale agriculture and One World Government with unelected leaders with total control over the population can possibly save us from becoming a frozen wasteland.
As I pointed out in a letter which was published in my local rag a few years ago, global cooling is obviously caused by increased carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The increase brings about faster plant growth, therefore more shade, and everybody knows it is cooler in the shade.
Wait, wait, according to the New Climate Denier doctrines the snow is caused by too much water vapor from SUV induced heat, thereby making it cold and snowy, so this is all consistent with the Law of Climate Change, because the heat is causing the cold from the melting Arctic which has been ice free for 20 years is coming south even though it is hiding in the deep oceans, so everyone (else) should be forced to pay a carbon tax and purchase a Chevy Volt, as well as turn their heat down to 60 otherwise the planet will boil and and all species will die out in a 6th Great Extinction…….
