Development along watersheds is obviously going to increase flooding. Plus we don’t have a long enough weather record to even know what a hundred year flood actually is.
…it’s all in the name
I just had a hundred year hamburger
Warmist like Super-Mandia want you to believe that anything and everything that would result from a NET global warming would always be BAAAD so they identify things that people don’t like and predict that they will occur much more frequently even if they have to state things like both droughts and floods will increase simultaneously.
James Baldwin’s “The Fire Next Time” made a deep impression on me when I was in high school. The thesis was that man had not learned from the Biblical floods and, therefore, God would punish the sinners with fire. Well the fire — global warming — scare didn’t work, so we are back to the floods.
Maybe he needs to exchange his hip boot for a pair of waders. Hip boots are only rated for 30 year floods.

I’ve seen this flooding foolishness posted on another site by the alarmist trolls and I think part of their latest marching orders is to proclaim that 100 year flooding is now occurring every decade or so with climate change … it plays well in spots in the northern hemisphere where spring flooding is common and the folks aren’t too bright about the statistical nonsense of flooding and its prediction. Plus of course the main scream media is only too happy to ring the alarm bells that the climate is changing.
He’s just promoting his book. ‘Rising Sea Levels’ – a really slow read; safely ignored.
But but but but but – what happened to the “it’s never gonna rain again, and what little rain that does fall will never fill our dams again” ????????
That was about 6 years ago that prediction was made by no less an authority than Australia’s Chief Climare Commissioner – oh that’s right – we gat a carbon tax – problem solved!!!
Crisis – What Crisis ?
It’s worse than we thought! Two thirds of the planet are already underwater, so it is only a matter of time. Today Guam, tomorrow Australia.
