So does alcohol, of course. For those that say that pot is bad, they’re right. Pot can be really bad. And it’s a crime to be in a position of such responsibility and be high on drugs or alcohol. But is the illegality cure worse than the disease? Do we devote ever increasing resources and prisons and SWAT teams to this futile losing battle? Do we build a police state cure to control these things? No.
And importantly, when you look at hotair or other conservative sites, you find when the drug topic comes up a majority take a libertarian stance. These are conservatives, not Jerry Brown liberals. So this is another issue that is going to cause contention among conservatives. I personally wish we’d avoid the drug issue, because it will cause division when we need unity in the climate change fight.
Qe ?
The largest crime is that the thrift store was not evacuated during demolition. Even a sober operator could have killed those folks. There is alot of blame to go around, I certainly would not have been in that store as the building next door was coming down.
Exactly. And along with the drugged-up operator, the demolition contractor, and Philly’s crack team of Licensing & Inspection investigators, the families should begin by calling for the arrest of one of Philly’s all-time slumlord millionaires. Call it “Trickle-down justice.”

He was also taking codeine according to reports, which could have a far more serious effect on judgement and coordination than marijuana
I’m not a pot smoker, so I don’t really know these things, but isn’t there a warning on the pot package not to operate heavy machinery while using it?
There would be if it were legal.
I’m sorry, and I know that this isn’t fair, but looking at that guys picture, I can’t help that my first thought was “who in their right mind would let this guy operate an excavator in the first place, stoned or sober” … I know, I shouldn’t judge by looks, but still, really?
Exactly squid. I nearly shit meself laughing at his pic..
