People In The 1890s Weren’t Smart Enough To Know Whether They Were Hot Or Cold

Prior to USHCN adjustments, people who believed that the weather was very hot were simply not qualified to make those decisions. Only a USHCN computer program can determine whether the temperature was actually hot at some date in the past.

Same goes for cold and forest fires.
