Violent Crime Is Up In Anti-2nd Amendment Counties – And Down In Pro-2nd Amendment Counties

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) –

The FBI says that violent crime rose across the United States last year.

They said nothing of the sort. This is what they actually said.

The report found that violent crime was up in metropolitan areas and was down in rural areas.

Most of the country is rural, so violent crime is down in most of the country. People in New York think that their little island occupies most of the US.

See if you can spot the high crime areas on this 2012 election map. Hint, they all voted for Obama. Every single one of them.

Most of the land area is rural, but most of the population lives in urban areas. As of 2010 only 19.3% of the population lived in rural areas.

    • Yes, we are well aware that the crime, gang and filth infested cities are dominating the voting process. Do you have any other brilliant insights Sherlock?

80& of the counties voted for Romney.

      • Dave says:

My point stands – only 19.3% of the population lives in those counties. Who cares if violent crime is down in most of the land area where there are no people? What kind of statement is that?

Sure 80% of the counties voted for Romney – and Obama won because only 19.3% of the population lives in those counties. Do you have any other brilliant insights Einstein?

        • Essentially all of the food in the US is produced in “no people” red counties. Make sure you don’t eat any of it, because anyone who doesn’t think like you is not a person.

Do you have any other brilliant insights Adolf?

Where the hell did that come from? Think like me how? Actually, FYI I voted for Romney. I am just pointing out the facts that make your point irrelevant. You don’t take criticism very well.

        • You said that “no people” live in the red counties. A lot of “no people” got killed by tornadoes in all-red Oklahoma this week.

It’s the per capita rate not the raw volume.

  2. The information we are not given here is whether all or most metropolitan areas are anti-2nd Amendment and all or most rural areas are pro-2nd Amendment–if that is the case, it doesn’t matter that rural areas contain only a fraction of the people that live in metropolitan areas, it would nevertheless be true that violent crime is up in anti-2nd Amendment areas and down in pro-2nd Amendment areas (and there is the further uncertainty of suburban areas–whether they are all counted as metropolitan, and whether they are mostly anti-2nd Amendment, which I, perhaps too hopefully, would doubt). From what we are told above, Steve is right to say violent crime is down over most of the nation, and Dave is right that most of the people live in areas where the violent crime is up. The tattered intellectual climate is getting to both of them, and they are arguing past each other, two different points.

Everytime the lame stream want to “debate” the gun crime issue they haul some IInd amendmaent advocate on stage to harangue him or her when it’s actually the constituents of B. Hussein and Bloomberg that are committing the vast majority of the gun related mayhem. They should be hauling BHO out in on stage for Piers Morgan to blame.

  4. david says:

Yes crime is down in rural areas where most everyone has a gun. In urban enviroments a much smaller percentage of law abiding citizens have guns. Rural areas constitute about 60 million people, very high gun ownership, very low firearm crime rate per capita.
