President Obama’s top climate adviser on Wednesday vowed that “meaningful” action on global warming was coming soon.
Heather Zichal, the deputy assistant to the president on energy and climate change, said she didn’t want to get “in front of the big man” and unveil specific plans during an event in Washington, D.C., hosted by The New Republic.
“The era of delay and denial is over,” she said.

Steven, there was an irrelevant posting recently on one of your pages of a principled defense of the “honor killing” of wives who are caught cheating on their husbands. The comment was posted by a detractor of yours who has already tried in numerous ways to build a case for the idea that you and your supporters are in fact neo-nazis.
If you leave it up, it (and any others like it) could be used in an effort to do a DCMA takedown of your site, and perhaps even to have you banned from the internet. If such a thing happens, the public will lose access to all the important proof you have compiled of government-sponsored fraud in scientific data. Such a takedown request would almost certainly originate from the Obama “Justice” Department and the essential rationale of the request might be that since your climate theories are supposedly disposed toward greater death among women, minorities, and liberals, and since you didn’t take down certain comments yourself, and since your theories are supposedly manifestly absurd and unsupported by any “independent” evidence (whatever that means), that you are making up the theories in a deliberate effort to target women and minorities.
Therefore it might (falsely) be argued that the preponderance of the evidence strongly suggests that you and your online supporters are neo-nazis who are trying to keep a nascent anti-minority and anti-feminist holocaust going as long as possible, in order to support their supposed agenda of a resurgence of white supremacism in the United States and other countries.
In other words, the supporting rationale for a takedown order might be that you are supposedly a leader of a white-supremacist hate group, which you are not.
I urge you in the strongest possible way to reconsider your policy of allowing comments like the one I referenced, and others which may tend to paint a false image of you and/or your supporters as being possible nazis. What is going on in the last few days on your website is not a usual thing, and the only reasonable explanation I can think of is the one I have presented here. Once your material is taken down from the web, there would a sudden and massive re-setting of all the fraudulent data sets so that any historical information which could prove fraud would disappear en masse. This would coincide with a massive propaganda-and-lies campaign about climate that the state of the climate that would absolutely dwarf anything we’ve seen before, and probably also a coincident mass-purge of the ranks of government-funded researchers. Naturally, we could expect that most people who would be in a position and of the inclination to reveal and criticize what is going on would not have the ability to do so online.
I urge you take this situation with the seriousness that it demands. It is not a joke. The people who are accusing us of nazism right now are not having a good laugh about it behind our backs. They really do believe it’s true about us, and they have clearly got Obama’s attention right now. You can help mitigate the effects of whatever is coming by adopting a zero-tolerance policy regarding hate speech that is posted on your site and also picking up your redactor’s marker to surgically snip whenever anyone makes a patently false allegation about someone elses arguments or beliefs. Merely responding is not enough, because the response can be left out of any report about the conversation, or it can twisted out-of-context. This is not a game. You say in your blog description that you’re “just having fun”, but you know that’s facetious. You are trying to help save humanity (including minorities, women, and liberals) from the worst tyrants that the world has to offer, and the tyrants are trying to stop you from tripping them up. If they really are tyrants, which they are, then they are certainly not about to stop at what is civil or lawful, and no amount of weapons can win the struggle to keep the truth out there for people to see. So you cannot and should not rely on weapons to do for you what only a good editorial policy can accomplish. Thank you for your serious consideration of what I have written.

Hey Steve, Richard T. Fowler is spot-on with his post. I know nothing about the particular issue he wrote about, but I do know it’s easy to be set up. It’s the “progressive way” to spy and then incite. I’m not telling you anything you don’t already know, and I’ve lived it with the idiots in power here in Glassboro, NJ.
Here’s my advice, if you’ll have it. IT’S YOUR WEBSITE, with YOUR name on it. Post whatever you want, whenever you want. As long as what you’ve written is true, all your enemies can do is try to intimidate; it’s all they’ve got. They’re the neo-nazis. Fuck ’em. Speak the truth.

Thanks, RTF. I don’t know a whole lot about “snip its” and all that kind of fearful, online stuff, but there’s a few things I do know. Speak your mind, be transparent and without any secrets that your enemies can use against you (unless they make them up), and especially so when you run a terrific website called Real Science. (And that ain’t no bullshit, Steve–you do a good job with it. Even Rush Limbaugh noticed). And that’s all I’ll say about that. Sorry for the lecture.

Didn’t that sort of already happen once ?
No, it didn’t. One data set disappeared, so far as I am aware, and that encapsulates only a fraction of the overall demonstrated fraud. I said “all” the data sets, and I said “en masse” which means all at the same time. Plus I said re-setting, not disappearing. As far as I know, they haven’t dared try that yet — reset the numers in a given version rather than create a new version with different numbers.
There is plenty of proof of fraud out there on government web sites that has not been disappeared or reset, as Steven has been at pains to show us. It is the fraudsters and their lackeys who usually come here claiming that they can’t find any of the data sets that Steven links to and that the proof is not there. And I’m not just thinking of temps but ice as well.
We are dealing with Leninists and very angry ones at that. If you think what has happened thus far is the sum of what they’re capable of, I disagree. They want their revolution! They now have the White House, they have the Senate and I daresay they have a lot of House Republicans and Republican governors committed to a passive approach of just letting it happen if it does. (They don’t want to rock the boat, because they think the people are overwhelmingly in favor of letting it happen, when push comes to shove.)
Without taking down Steven’s site (permanently), they can’t get away with the resetting that they must want to.

And as to the “reset” I don’t know, but they sure do object to the idea that folks 80

The global warming fraud was instituted in the 1980s as a means to fleece taxpayers, while enriching a select group of scientists and carbon traders and instituting a program of energy scarcity designed to make people dependent on Big Brother. It’s fascism — pure and simple. It has nothing to do with environmentalism or “saving the planet.” The planet doesn’t need saving, but American citizens will soon need to be saved from the greedy robber barons who are using the myth of human-caused “climate change” to reduce everyone to a state of abject poverty.
It’s not only fascism, Kirk, but also communism–both left-wing statist governmental constructs that have nothing better to offer than to impose fear in order to rule the uninitiated masses, and then take their hard-owned resources in order to “save” them. The last and most basic tool in their toolbox is the “environment” in which we all “LIVE, WORK, LEARN and PLAY” (an Agenda 21 NGO website that you can google on your own).
