  1. I think the operative word is

    IMAGINE

    • I imagine John Cook’s integrity to be in the crapper.

    • Andy Oz says:

Finally, Cook admits that Climate Change is imaginary. Excellent. Just like with AA, to be cured of his insanity, first Cook needed to admit he is living in an imaginary world. I think this is great progress. Let’s meet again tomorrow to discuss how he feels about his Oedipus complex.

  2. Anything is possible says:

Screw it. If I’d known that 2 hours ago, I wouldn’t have bothered mowing the lawn.

  3. Stephen Richards says:

I have great difficulty with people like Cookie. You see I can’t believe that anyone that can read and write can be as stupid as he would have us believe and let’s face it, that is just incredibly stupid. So what is his motivation? What is he trying to demostrate / achieve?

Is it that he believes, as I do, that 97% of the public au large are so stupid and lazy that they will believe anything he says. Well, yes, I think he does. He is, in essence, baiting us while expecting a good proportion of people to believe what he says and, if you read the blogs of the faithful, there is ample evidence to suggest he is right. Hell, what a bloody mess society is in.

    • rw says:

If you’re sufficiently arrogant, insular and essentially uninformed there may not be any sensible limits to one’s stupidity. Clearly, as we’re seeing, the vistas are boundless.

BTW. Another great rejoinder by our blogmeister.

    • Marian says:

John Cook and his cooked brain. Is just parrotting James ‘Charlatan’ Hansen and his Hiroshima bomb claims. Since John Cook, James Hansen, Mikey Mann and Al Gore are so full of their own hot air BS.

I thought Nuke strikes of that magnitude were supposed to cause a nuke winter if it was real. That used to be all the anti-nuke rage at one time?

  4. mwhite says:

“Even nuclear weapons are going green”

    http://grist.org/news/even-nuclear-weapons-are-going-green/

“Construction of five 400-foot wind turbines is beginning today at America’s main site for assembling, disassembling, and maintaining its nuclear arsenal.”

  5. beowulftoo says:

Those wind turbines will serve as ‘The religion of Peace’ aiming points.

  6. R. de Haan says:

We can very well do without cooks like cook.

  7. R. de Haan says:

    Same goes for grist.org.

  8. Joseph says:

Just when I think John Cook couldn’t go any lower, he proves me wrong. Keep up the good work, John.

  9. The alarmists have gone past the border between reality and into The Twilight Zone. The border signpost reads “Beware! Total madness lies ahead”. They surged forward in spite of its message. The down side, for the rest of us, is that they expect us to pay for their trip into the nonexistent, never was, and never will be. The ominous thing is they are in positions of power and have the will to use that power to extract the payment from us with or without our consent.

Are we to stand quietly and let it happen or are we going to do something about it?

  10. omnologos says:

this is what happens when computing power meets numerical illiteracy. The US national debt is increasing one Freedom Tower a day, yet that doesn’t make everybody rush to stop the increase.

  11. omanuel says:

Cook is, probably unconsciously, now admitting that fear of the atomic bombs that destroyed Hiroshima and Nagasaki on 6 & 9 Aug 1945 is the root cause of today’s social insanity !

    He is exactly right!

  12. Andy DC says:

With lack of any clear scientific evidence of “climate change”, the alarmists are only left with insane hyperbole.

  13. mike says:

If the Climate Fuhrer says it’s so, it must be. Only lew paper can save us now.

  14. skepticscience: Four Hiroshima bombs a second: …

…which, at an estimated yield of 16 kilotons each, means that the Arctic sea ice was hit with a total of about 5,529,600 kilotons yesterday.

Not even thin, rotten ice could stand up to that.

PS: I love how they had to “correct” their original article: “…This was corrected on August 15. It previously stated that John Cook is a climate scientist…”

Pretty bad when even the “climate scientists” don’t want to claim John Cook as one of their ranks.
