Fort Collins took a beating Saturday from torrential rain and hail that spent the afternoon menacing the Front Range and northeastern Colorado. There were numerous thunderstorm warnings, a tornado warning and an hours long tornado watch in parts of the area, along with many reports of tornadoes across Northern Colorado. The Boulder National Weather Service Twitter page said baseball-size hail had been reported 3 miles northeast of Wellington.

I am old and experienced, and definitely cynical these days. Those two look like amateur panhandlers–teens who walk around asking strangers for change. (I assume you meant them as “the poor”.) Wandering youths on the street (literally on the street, here) is a bad sign.
Just out for Skittles and tea, nothing to see here.
