“The results suggest that conservative media consumption (specifically Fox News and Rush Limbaugh) decreases viewer trust in scientists, which in turn decreases belief that global warming is happening,” according to SkepticalScience.
“In contrast, consumption of non-conservative media (specifically ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, NPR, The New York Times, and The Washington Post) increases consumer trust in scientists, and in turn belief that global warming is happening,” SkepticalScience adds.

Another possibility would be to look at the actual data, rather than relying on faith in a small group of criminals who call themselves scientists.
In other words watching media that reinforces and doesn’t question information presented by group A (“climate scientists”) or investigate the benefits Group A receives from presenting such information gets people to believe members of Group A. Media that points out inconsistencies and ulterior motives with Group A diminishes such trust. What a scientific breakthrough.
Now if only Group B (“actual scientists, doing science”) could distance themselves from Group A, we’d have a test population to verify the hypotheses that science suffers when climate science is exposed as besmirched with fraud and self-aggrandizing.
WWGPD (“What would Greenpeace do?”), if they were skeptics?
Another way of saying fewer people are watching CBS, NBS, ABS, CNNBS, MSNBS, etc.
It’s funny.
Those people that the article lauds, say “I believe the scientists”.
But when you challenge them on something that Hansen, or Viner, or Jones, or Mann, or even Stroeve, has said or predicted, they respond with crazy like ” Well I don’t follow Hansen but I believe in global warming because all the scientists ( whose names I do not know) say its true”, or else they say, “Well he was wrong about that but he was right about everything in general”.
Or if you show them what the HadCrut crud actually says, they say ” Who is that, they don’t speak for all the climate scientists, I don’t believe HadCru, I believe the scientists”, and other such low-information drivel.
It is hard for a barely educated fool like myself to argue with such blind lemmingness.
It’s just a matter of time until these criminal assholes get to spend some quality time with fellow cell mate Gyro Jerry, the 7′ black dude that always provides his cellmates with “Preparation H”.
A new and groundbreaking study reveals that attending church increases the trust in clergy, and therefore belief in God.
Their little world is falling apart. They’re just looking for a boogeyman to blame it on.
I had a golfing partner this weekend attempt to justify global warming on the basis of the “consensus”. When I challenged his religious belief in the non-science of consensus he retorted that we’d “just have to agree not to agree!” So much for understanding the basics of science … I think that most of them (warmista) are like this bloke, nice people, but harboring an irrational belief in the existence of the consensus of climate science.
We now determine scientific fact, not based on data, but on whether we like the news organization that is reporting it.
