Obama Administration: Don?t Compare Syria and Iraq
Good point. The Iraq war never threatened to escalate into WWIII.
On Syria, Earnest told reporters President Obama “has been very clear that he is not contemplating an open-ended military action,” and again drew a distinction between the two scenarios. “What we’re talking about here is something that’s very discrete and limited,” said Earnest.
No doubt Iran attacking Israel a few minutes later will be discrete and limited too.
History repeating itself:

0 and his allies have been so confounded that they haven’t been able to bring the much hated capitalist nation to their knees, that they now know what they should have done months ago, attack Syria.
Problem solved, the U.S. economy will take a large hit, along with the rest of the world, but hey everybody knows that sometimes you’ve got to break a few eggs to make that omelet…
If they were going to attack somebody and do some good in the region, they should have attacked Iran in 2009, when that country’s people were trying to overthrow the ayatollahs’ tyranny.
Hope they don’t damage the pipeline in Homs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirkuk%E2%80%93Baniyas_pipeline
