When Bush was president, Obama complained that no evidence of WMD’s was found in Iraq, months after the war started.
Now Obama wants to start a war to distract from his disastrous presidency, and says that five days is too long for WMD evidence.
U.S. Rebuffs Syrian Decision to Allow Inspection
DAMASCUS, Syria—Syria said Sunday it would allow United Nations inspectors currently present in Damascus immediate access to areas around the capital where the opposition accused the regime of using chemical weapons against fighters and civilians five days ago.
But the U.S. rebuffed Syria’s decision, saying the offer came too late to be credible.
“If the Syrian government had nothing to hide and wanted to prove to the world that it had not used chemical weapons in this incident, it would have ceased its attacks on the area and granted immediate access to the U.N.— five days ago,” a senior administration official said.

According to Bill Clinton’s Secretary Of State, Clinton killed half a million Iraqi children over non-existent WMDs, because the US cares about kids.

Well, I guess Clinton deserves a Nobel Peace Prize too! sarc off
Didn’t Saddam use chemical weapons on Kurdish people? Isn’t that WMD? Also, didn’t they send all the WMD to Syria?
The weapons disappeared somewhere.
Hey Lou, the chemical weapons attack on the Kurds is a bit more complicated. I was fortunate enough to find a US Army paper on the subject that was once on file at the web site of the US Army War College. The report was done during the late 1980s and concluded that the Kurds killed had died from Iranian gas; the Kurdish village was caught between Iranian and Iraqi forces, both sides using gas, but the actual civilian deaths were caused by the Iranian attacks. With the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait it became politically expedient to blame the Iraqis, so the report was scrubbed from the War College site. The last time I seriously looked for the report (maybe 20004ish) I could only find one singe report that even referenced the finding of the original paper. The title is buhe1c5.tmp from March, 2000. The pertinent section is copied below:
“Blood agents were allegedly responsible for the most
infamous use of chemicals in the war—the killing of Kurds at
Halabjah. Since the Iraqis have no history of using these two
agents- and the Iranians do- we conclude that the Iranians
perpetrated this attack. It is also worth noting that lethal
concentrations of cyanogen are difficult to obtain over an area
target, thus the reports of 5,000 Kurds dead in Halabjah are
suspect.”
So… did the Iraqis gas their own people? Who knows. I have no doubt that the original “The Iranians did it!” report could very easily have been a cover up for our then-ally Saddam. Equally possible, the disappearance of the report may have politically motivated to allow us to blame our then-enemy Iraq with the phrase “He gassed his own people!” We only have politically motivated sources to rely on, and they are congenitally untrustworthy.
Final conclusions: Did Saddam gas his own people? We don’t know, and yes, important document DO disappear from the web if there is a strong enough motivation.
Putin will kick his girlyman a$$.
Saddam used chemical weapons regularly during and after the Iran Iraq war in the 1980s. After the first Persian Gulf War, large quantities of chemical weapons in Iraq were located and destroyed by theUN and the US. The idea, now part of the gospel of the left, that Iraq never had chemical weapons is, well, so, leftist. Bush and the Second Gulf War allies had every reason to believe Saddam had WMD before the war. He had repeatedly stockpiled and used them.
Bush didn´t just believe Saddam had WMD:s. He knew it, because they were delivered by US companies (and also German, Russian).
Greg, no US company delivered WMD’s to Iraq. Please present SOMETHING rather than your bare assertion to support this ludicrous comment.
The US DID provide things like helicopters and parts to Iraq from which WMD’s MAY HAVE been used.
Almost forgot, you have a slight break. Back before the American Type Culture Collection was restricted, ANY educational organization in the world could purchase samples. Apparently a research group in Iraq did request and receive samples of Anthrax from the US.
“In the 1980s, Iraq bought anthrax from the American Type Culture Collection (Maryland). The 1995 defection and debriefing of a key Iraqi official provided western intelligence experts with evidence of Iraq’s biological weapons program and its production of 8,500 liters of anthrax. In December 1990, Iraq had stockpiled 50 R400 bombs and 10 Ah-Hussein SCUDS, and these were deployed in January 1991 to four different locations. Since the Gulf War, American troops have been vaccinated against anthrax.”

Prior to 1997 the US had few controls on biological agents, even the dangerous ones.
Great. They want to go to war with Russia to support All Qaeda in Syria. We are truly through the looking glass.
First your internet will go out, then the power will go off. How long will you last?
Time to watch a few episodes of Jericho….then maybe Road Warrior.
And the beat goes on. All we can do is sit back and watch the show while the Globalist Masters plot the next move.
What? Why not 18 broken UN resolutions over 12 years, and a broken conditional cease fire first?
Yeah, Bush was a real war monger.
The best move the rebels could have possibly made would have been to use gas and then blame it on Syria. It would have been the dumbest move for Syria because they knew it would bring down unwanted interference. That’s why the lunatic rebels used it and any sensible person could see that but Obama is falling for it. This will not end pretty.
Nothing Skeeter does ends pretty!
