The EPL is scheduled to start competition on Saturday, and I just wanted to check and make sure that England is still there. Please confirm.
Ehrlich forecasted that 65 million Americans would die of starvation between 1980 and 1989, and by 1999 the U.S. population would have declined to 22.6 million. Ehrlich’s predictions about England were gloomier: “If I were a gambler, I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000.”
I think a lot of them are gone, frozen to death, 30,000 anyway if I remember correctly. Surprisingly the BBC published this article that does not fit the agenda. Our California coast is now the same temp as Scotland”s North Sea but some residents did not notice the 13 deg air temperature drop when I pointed it out. Brainwashing complete! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-23404883
Looking forward to the new season! This is Sunderland’s year.
No chance! Sea level rises will swamp the Stadium of Light and its contents as the Arctic melts this winter, or something.
You’ll have to switch to a better team (Toon Army) 🙂
FTM and Newcastle Brown Ale. LOL enjoy the season
Yes, we are still here. mind you, it’s summer and blooming freezing.
we had some carbon dioxide around here a few days ago but it didnt stay long
Well, Southend United are still here, with a 100% record!
Must be due to global warming or something.

More stuff that shouldn’t exist anymore, according to the ecoloons:
[low lying countries, FL, San Francisco:] “Entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.” -Noel Brown, ex UNEP Director, 1989
[holocaust free living:] “Inaction will cause… by the turn of the century [2000], an ecological catastrophe which will witness devastation as complete, as irreversible as any nuclear holocaust.” -Mustafa Tolba, 1982, former Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Program
[Manhattan:] “(in twenty years {2008} ) the West Side Highway [and thus much of Manhattan] will be under water.” -James Hansen (1988), NASA
[full stomachs:] “By the year 2000, thirty years from now, the entire world… [with western exceptions] will be in famine.” – Peter Gunter, Earth Day 1970
[warm weather:] “If (the cooling trend) continues and no strong action [de-industrialization] is taken, it will cause world famine, world chaos and world war, and this could all come about before the year 2000.” -Lowell Ponte in “The Cooling”, 1976
[snow:] “Within a few years winter snowfall will become a very rare and exciting event… children just aren’t going to know what snow is.” -David Viner, 2000
Still there, but struggling against Scotland. 2 – 2 at the moment.
Well that worked, now 3 – 2!

Not sarfend, all cockles an whelks.
No worries, middle easterners are filling the void.
Poland must be flooding! Plenty coming here, the fields of Lincolnshire are full of them. That’s the fields created by draining marshes in the Fens, mostly in the 18th & 19th Centuries.
Oh, most popular boy’s name in London is Mohammed (Or variants thereof!)
Muammar al-Gaddafi,
“There are signs that Allah will grant victory to Islam in Europe without swords, without guns, without conquest. We don’t need terrorists, we don’t need homicide bombs. The 50+ million Muslims in Europe will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.”
Rain & hill fog on Bodmin Moor till lunch time when sun broke through. Got to a dizzy 19c….mid August. Not the summer visitors that used to flock to Cornwall…all become holiday climate refugees & headed south to find some sun.
Are you referring to the Barclays Premier League?
If so, we find out if one manager is indispensable and if another can make a come back?
Have fun, could be an interesting season!
If Man Utd didn’t qualify for Europe next season, that would surely be a sign of climate change. I’ll just go and start the car up.
When Ehrlich said that quote in 1969 the UK population stood at 55,461,000. Last year it stood at 63,700,000. My guess is that England’s population grew. How wrong can someone be without being hounded out of academia? Yet he continues make failed prophecies.
Here is another via Mastersource:
Just seven years to go. In the meantime the planet has been greening and yields aren’t dropping yet.
There is no Queen of England: there is no English parliament: the English flag is often condemned as racist – even by the police: the future head of the Church of England (Prince Charles) has promoted Islam: the country has been deliberately swamped with immigrants – the Labour Party admitted that: …
