If the climate cools and Arctic ice expands in conjunction with the solar minimum, how long before NOAA, NASA and the other N agencies stop lying about global warming and the death spiral? Five years? Ten years?

Congressmen/women w/ some cojones, common sense and the ability to make a budget. I’m not expecting this anytime soon.
Steven … how long can all the heat hold it’s breath at the bottom of the ocean? Eventually it will come up and the “mother of all warming” will occur and then the alarmists will have their victory as the seas boil and we all whither and die in the endless droughts / floods of apocalyptic climate change.
Re the original question – two years of serious ice recovery and the alarmist will change the game / move the goal posts in some way that sane folks like us will find beyond belief.
They will not stop lying until it is more lucrative to tell the truth. Maybe not even then.
I just hope that they have not destroyed the original data which they have so greatly “adjusted.”
They will shape shift and pretend they didn’t really make the arguments they made. The Borg cannot admit defeat.

ABout 2025 or 2030 we may see warming again, so if they can hold out that long, they’ll be in the clear. Right now they focus on changing changie-ness. So, they can point out any weather event or disaster anywhere in the world and use that as a “suggestion” that these things are increasing.
How long did it take to get rid of the idea of peak oil or the population bomb? Oh wait, they still have not given up on those, have they? It looks as though their ability to rationalize what they want to see is unlimited. I only wonder if they will go back into global cooling being due to fossil fuels before they go back to warming? If it cools, they can argue it was a freak sun, and that all that heat hiding in the deep ocean has changed sea currents and caused the polar winds (jet stream) to shift, inducing even more “global weirding”. In short, I am pessimistic that it will ever end, no matter how much evidence. However, most people will just ignore it – so maybe not too much harm will result.
The liars are digging their own political graves.

At the same time Mother Nature is on our side. The 2012 agricultural output in Alaska was decimated because of the cold. Same happens this year but not limited to Alaska. The Arctic went below normal this summer and temperatures continue to drop. In Northern Europe, Canada and North America early frost is already in the predictions.
There is no better wake up call than cold when the zealots scream warmth.
We had our first chilly morning of the imminent Fall season this morning (about 4 weeks early, I’d guess–it more usually happens around September 10th).
