Al Gore Predicted Gonzalo!

Five years ago, Nobel Laureate Al Gore predicted Hurricane Gonzalo in the cover photo of his book Al Gore’s Earth, and also predicted that it would circulate in a clockwise direction, making it the first ever clockwise cyclone in the Northern Hemisphere.

You see, the planet flipped upside down so now toilets flush the opposite was and Aussies are so confused, they are trying to drag their continent back down to where it belongs using ice breaker ships. 🙂

  2. Frank K. says:

Note how the seas have risen to cover Florida, the polar cap is gone, among other assorted phoney photoshop tricks…

Remember – these are the intelligent people who want to you live in poverty for gaia’s sake.

  3. Ron says:

That happened about the same time sen frank Johnson predicted Guam would flip over from too many military people gathering on one side of the island

  4. cg says:

    Now that’s real science! ?

  5. geran says:

Al Gore says CO2 is over heating the planet.

Very few people disagree with him….

      • geran says:

Yeah Morgan, there are many people that believe CO2 can warm the planet. They believe in things like the “greenhouse effect”. I know it is hard to understand, but many folks believe that.

It’s like they have no understanding of science….

        • It is hard to believe that some skeptics continue to trash the reputation of other skeptics – by spouting mindless tripe.

        • Hey Geran. Got a question for you. When 15 micron IR is absorbed by the atmosphere, what happens to the energy?

          1. It turns to light
          2. It turns to sound
          3. It turns to page 67 of the 1904 Sears Roebuck catalogue
          4. It turns to heat

        • geran says:

          4. It turns to heat until it is re-emitted.

(Where do I get my prize money?)

        • geran says:

Hey Morgan buddy, here’s a question for you:

Can you heat your home with mirrors?

        • Yes. When the sun is shining, I put 3 mirrors around my house and quarduple the amount of sunlight I get. One directly from the sun, and 3 from the mirrors. Any more and I burn the crows on my roof.

        • I’ve got a question for you geran buddy. Why do they mirror the inside of thermos bottles?

        • geran says:

No, Morgan, you are not allowed to use the SUN! In your house, at night, can you heat with mirrors. That is the question.

Don’t try to slide sideways, people will think you are not being scientific.

        • geran says:

IPCC “science” tells us that your body heat will be reflected. It will warm you. WUWT believes this. There is a video showing you can heat a lightbulb with a mirror.

          (I’m not kidding.)

        • I can’t use the sun? Why? The earth does.

If I put mirrors around my house it will lower my heat bill. Answer my question amount why they mirror the inside of thermos bottles.

        • Morgan, you have my permission to use the sun.

        • Got another question for you. Do you think there is anybody on this blog who doesn’t know you are a sock puppet for Squid? You both make the same idiotic arguments over and over again, and can’t be taught. Why don’t you tell me again why a colder object can’t heat a warmer one, proving that all colder objects are absolute zero and don’t radiate at all.

        • The WUWT video shows Tony Watts making the light bulb warmer than it was without the mirror. Any idiot can figure that out. It’s why they mirror the inside of thermos bottles, and why Reflectix R home insulation is made of reflective Mylar.

        • geran says:

          Funny questions form Morgan:

“Got another question for you. Do you think there is anybody on this blog who doesn’t know you are a sock puppet for Squid?”
          >>>>> Probably only you.

“You both make the same idiotic arguments over and over again, and can’t be taught.”
          >>>>> I can’t speak for Squid, but I recognize Bad Science.

“Why don’t you tell me again why a colder object can’t heat a warmer one, proving that all colder objects are absolute zero and don’t radiate at all.”
          >>>>> Sorry, that question is such nonsense, no one could answer it.

          Next question, please….

        • geran says:

          Morgan is on a roll—

“The WUWT video shows Tony Watts making the light bulb warmer than it was without the mirror.”
          >>>>> How do I even respond to this? The experiment was supposed to show the bulb could be heated with a mirror. Morgan has determined it “was without the mirror”. That magical CO2 again….

“Any idiot can figure that out.”
          >>>>>Yeah, only idiots understand.

“It’s why they mirror the inside of thermos bottles, and why Reflectix R home insulation is made of reflective Mylar.”
          >>>>>Finally, we get to something I can respond to. A thermos bottle is designed to CONTAIN the heat. This is confusing for Warmists and Lukers, so let me explain.

A specially designed surface CAN reflect IR and help to maintain the emitter temperature. BUT, it can NOT elevate the emitter temperature. So, as the IR loses energy, it is no longer able to WARM the emitter. A thermos bottle continually loses heat, for this reason.

If the Earth were in a thermos bottle, that allowed solar heat to enter, the planet could definitely warm. And, that is the situation the Warmists and Lukers try to claim. BUT, that is not the real situation. Our planet is NOT in a thermos bottle. Our atmosphere radiates heat to space constantly and continually. As the atmosphere warms, it radiates even more heat to space. The increase in non-linear. Translation: There is NO way CO2 can warm the planet.

        • geran,

You are making very stupid comments

  6. Timo Soren says:

Except Geran said “overheating” and “very few” too bad it isn’t so Geran.

  7. ossqss says:

This is exactly what you get when you surround yourself with people with an agenda, not true cause, just like the current administration. Knowledge is secondary.

How many people are setting policy, right now, who are appointed?

  8. ntesdorf says:

It’s more likely that hot air from Al Gore is over-heating the planet and peoples’ minds than that CO2 is.

  9. A C Osborn says:

Steve, there has been loads of hype in thr MSM and NASA that Gazola is a 140Mph Hurricane.
The NuSchool Earth shows the wind speed to be about 120Kph.
Can you work your magic and find some actual real wind speeds from Bermuda to see what wind speeds were recorded?
The other 140Mph Hurricane Vongfong actually recorded 89Kph when it hit the northern Mariana Islands

    • nielszoo says:

NHC is listing it as 100 mph as of the 10/18, 5am advisory but it’s not within 200 miles of any buoys that I can find so that’s either ship or aircraft data. The peak sustained wind at BEPB6 in the Bermudas was ~58 kts (67mph) with gusts to around 77 kts (89 mph) just after midnight when (what looks like) the Southwestern part of the eyewall went over. Kind of surprising the winds were that low as that station showed a lowest pressure of 28.1″ or ~918 millibars and that is pretty low. I would have expected stronger winds. From wind direction data it looks like it went a bit East of the station so siting could be the reason as it may be in a wind shadow. Hurricanes are “funny” things. After being run over by more than I can remember in the last 24 years here in Florida I’m no longer surprised about the weird stuff. Here’s the link to Bermuda’s NDBC station data:

    • tom0mason says:

I think you’ll find that with the moon in the current phase, MSM is in hype tide about now.

      🙂

    Re: the clockwise rotating hurricane

Drudge just recently did the same thing with his cover graphics for Hurricane Gonzalo. It really irks me when people don’t know or don’t pay attention to simply physics.
