One of the rifles is a WWII Mosin-Nagant bolt action. Another is 7.62×39 AK with no stock – considered a pistol under US law.
Progressives believe that civilians should not own rifles, so that tyrants can have free reign over them.
“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”
— Thomas Jefferson
How dare these women stand in the way of the religion of peace. I wonder if these photos of these bad-ass empowered ladies might start sort of feminist uprising in Pakistan, Saudi, Iran… one can hope.
I think you will find those women are nominally the same religion as their enemies, merely different interpretations of the same book.
Exactly, ergo my point.
That’s not a stockless Kalashnikov. It’s an AKMS with an underfolding stock, copied after that of the German WWII MP-40 submachinegun. You can see the pivoting butt plate lying along the underside of the lower hand guard, in front of the magazine, and one of the struts on the side of the receiver.
?al?? ad-D?n Y?suf ibn Ayy?b otherwise know as Saladin was a Kurd. Under Saladin’s personal leadership, the Ayyubid army defeated the Crusaders at the decisive Battle of Hattin in 1187, leading the way to the Muslims’ re-capture of Palestine from the Crusaders who had conquered it 88 years earlier. May the Kurds defeat ISIS as did their noble ancestor capture Syria.

Who would you prefer as POTUS? Saladin or Obama?
Grey,
This woman is a practitioner of what you call “the religion of Peace,” if by that you mean Islam. She is doing her duty in Islam–to protect her family. Does that make her bad? Or does it make her admirable?
We are meddling in a millenia-old intra-religious/intra-ethnic civil war, in which there are no essential American interests under threat.
Silly simplifications (Islam bad) don’t clarify the issue.
The Kurds are fighting for their independence–from Iran, Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and anyone else who tries to subjugate them. They are nearly all Muslims.
As extremist Sunni Muslims (ISIS) attack the Kurds from one side, America’s NATO allies, Turkey, attack them from the other. For, you see, Turkey, and the USA, both list the main Kurdish fighting group, the PKK, as international terrorists.
In the meantime, the USA is doing the bidding of Hizballah and Iran, Shia adherents, in slowing their mortal enemies, ISIS.
What the hell are we doing expending our blood and treasure on ancient regional hostilities?
Turkey has not actually attacked them; merely bottled them up thus providing a Turkish anvil for the ISIS hammer.
Tel,
You might want to expand your sources of information.
The Turks have been pounding the Kurds (in Turkey) from the air for a couple weeks.
“Turkish fighter jets struck Kurdish insurgent positions in southeastern Turkey on Monday, shaking the country’s fragile peace process with the Kurds and demonstrating the complexities surrounding the U.S.-led coalition fighting the Islamic State, which Turkey is under heavy pressure to join.”
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/world/turkish-air-strikes-hit-kurds-in-turkey/article21101578/
Turkey agreed to provide air support to the mis-begotten Obama-instigated cluster-f**k disaster in Iraq/Syria. Their air support turned out to be bombing the Kurdish rear area in Turkey.
Why the hell are we involved in a millenia-old intra-religious civil war?
Good Deal, but they’d have a rough time navigating a Browning Gold peace maker 😉
Don’t forget the two RPK light machine guns that would cost well over $35k if one could find one of the “civilian legal” ones registered before 1986 that was transferable in the US… (I believe there are only 8 of them in existence) plus the pre-approval of your local sheriff or police chief (many refuse to sign,) the FBI (new hand rolled, original fingerprints every time) and the BATFE before you were “allowed” to pay the additional $200 transfer tax for the NFA tax stamp that goes on the required BATFE Form 4 transfer which must remain with the weapon at all times. That takes about 6 to 8 months. If any errors are made the weapon turns into and illegal machine gun and must be destroyed. (If the barrel of the “machine gun” is less than 16″ long an additional $200 tax stamp is required.) Weapons that retail for $1k can easily cost $20k if you can find one “legal” for a normal law abiding citizen to own. So much for “… shall not be infringed.” (A real AK47 can be had in most of the world for US$100 but in the US a “legal” one is more than $20k and the real “killer” in most states it is ILLEGAL to use an NFA weapon for self defense.)
Your local police department, county court bailiffs, well connected corporations that work on “government” jobs, Social Security Administration, Department of Educations Curriculum Enforcement Division or the Department of Agriculture’s Milk inspectors may buy and carry to use against you fully automatic or select fire weapons that are state of the art for what civilians buy semi automatic weapons for without taxes or waiting periods…
Welcome to the USSA.
Steve, you abuse history the same way you abuse science. The Jefferson quote was ” “No freeman shall be debarred the use of arms [within his own lands or tenements]”. Your dishonesty is un-American. Interesting how none of your commenters call you to task.
Your comment is absolutely disgusting. If you dispute something then cite your references. Don’t you dare accuse me of being a liar or unpatriotic. What an asshole. Are you that desperate to protect your religion?
http://www.monticello.org/site/jefferson/no-freeman-shall-be-debarred-use-arms-quotation
I gave you the exact quote from the Virginia Constitution that you bastardized to say something completely different.
Specifically, you cut off the critical part [within his own lands or tenements]. That is a completely different meaning from the quote you used. You are very dishonest in everything you do.
Thomas Jefferson’s first draft said “No freeman shall ever be debarred the use of arms”
The text you are quoting was added later to make asshole progressives happy. Next time you call me a liar for telling the truth, you will be banned .
Again, not true: it was added at the time the Virginia constitution was being adopted. It was dishonest of you to change even one word of the quote and you changed the entire quote.
My patience with you is about over, I wrote exactly what Jefferson wrote in the first draft, before asshole progressives tampered with his intent. Stop being a douche bag.
Tony, while I think it would be reasonable to ban the commenter at this point, would it be out of order if I pointed out that your source also says about the quote that you did attribute to Jefferson:
“That sentence does not appear in the Virginia Constitution drafts or text as adopted, nor in any other Jefferson writings that we know of.”
And a related page,
http://www.monticello.org/site/jefferson/strongest-reason-people-to-retain-right-to-keep-and-bear-arms-quotation
says the following about the same quote:
“Earliest known appearance in print: 1989[1]
“Other attributions: None known.
“Status: This quotation has not been found in any of the writings of Thomas Jefferson. “
Tony,
Her arsenal, from left to right:
1. PK Machine-gun, 7.62×54
2. AK
3. Mosin 91/30
4. AK
5. RPG
6. AK (the lady is holding it)
7. PK Machine-gun
8. AK
Only the Mosin is legal in Maryland, where the state motto is : “Manly deeds, Womanly words”
Matayaya,
Maybe Dr. Goddard’s commenters don’t “correct” him, as you foolishly attempted, because he is an honest man.
Your charges of “un-American” are just as foolish as your slander on his honesty.
Courageous individual skepticism of the centralized government. Honesty and deliberate consideration of the facts. Clear-headed analysis. Integrity and character under withering abuse from Politically Correct Progressives.
What could be more American than Dr Goddard and his work?
What is it that you, and your ilk, demand of Americans like Steve? That they kow-tow to the central authority, the “settled science”? That we, free men and women, should stay silent as mendacious debauched organization men lie, cheat and steal their way towards an attempt to shut down our economy? You want us to live under the thumb of the Elite Vanguard as they jet-set around the globe to exotic destinations for meetings intended to transfer our wealth to their control?
Keep dreaming. It will be a cold day in Matayaya before those things happen.
Steven Goddard’s work and opinions are followed and shared by countless thousands of free Americans. Keep denigrating him, if you like. But be prepared for withering counter-punches. The truth will set you free.

The Mosin looks similar to the .303 Infield we used in boot camp at Great Lakes many years ago. The 96 count manual of arms with that thing would build up your arms.
There you go again Steve, with your “Progressives believe that civilians should not own rifles, so that tyrants can have free reign over them.” I don’t see any anti rifle position here:
http://progparty.org/
and why would we want ” tyrants [to] have free reign over them.”
The Kurds have been screwed over for far too long, I seem to remember George Bush the smarter pulling the rug out from under them after Gulf war one, and for those of you can’t stand Muslims, note that the Kurds are Islamic.
“The Kurds converted to Islam in the seventh century A . D . Most Kurds are orthodox Sunni Muslims of the Shaft school; however, in southeastern and southern Kurdistan, some tribes are Shiite….”

Barack Obama and Michael Bloomberg came to Colorado and spent millions of dollars trying to take our first and second amendment rights. Not interested in your BS. We all know what progressives are about.
Barack Obama and Michael Bloomberg aren’t progressives, don’t have a platform like this progressive:
http://progparty.org/
You mean they are not progressive enough for you. Where on your precious platform is the pledge to secure my individual rights, as enumerated in our Constitution?
You can have any color you want, as long as it’s black.
Bob Maginnis,
That’s some interesting stuff you linked there—you should read it. The comrades controlling your favorite website are all for gun control. Under the “Issues” pull-down on the main menu bar it lists the “Progressive Platform” that contains this under Security:
Your Progressive Party comrades envision you disarmed, living under the protection of the United Nations. I’m not sure who told you otherwise but you shouldn’t trust them. Instead, you should read the history of radical progressive movements. Your posts here suggest you are not one of the Progressive “machers” and naïve activists get eliminated after the power takeover, unless they shut up and make themselves very invisible. There are plenty of historical materials detailing the process but it’s admittedly hard reading.
There are also more enjoyable and artistic works exploring the same and István Szabó’s Mephisto is one of the most powerful (1982 Oscar winner). Klaus Maria Brandauer is excellent as Gustaf Gründgens and you may also pay attention to one of the supporting roles, the Hans Miklas character. I know of which archetype you remind me most. You can try to find out for yourself.
The character was Gustaf Gründgens in real life but renamed Hendrik Höfgen in the original Klaus Mann novel as in the film.
the mosin is the sniper version, looks like the first edition scope on it

“We the People are the Rightful Masters of both Congress & the Courts, not to Overthrow the Constitution, but Overthrow the men who pervert the Constitution.”
Abraham Lincoln
“America is the greatest country on Earth and we are going to change it.” Barack Obama
The Kurds are fierce and proud people and deserve our respect and help. It is not Islam that is the problem but the perverters of Islam. I have spent many years in the company of Muslims and find them to be gracious people, unless indoctrinated by the Madrassas and power hungry.
Our Constitution has also been undermined by the Progressives using the frog in the pan analogy. I want my country back following the guiding principles under which it was founded.
