Sea ice is republican at both polls
Good one!
I asked David Suzuki about this and he informed me that it [the increased ice] is caused by global warming. He’s a “scientist” you know.
OOOKKayyy Thanks David. ;^D
He blew his mind out on LSD in the 60’s. He’s a lunatic.
He needs to be put out to pasture…and CBC needs to stop airing his propaganda
He’s a “scientist” you know.
But not a climate scientist. He doesn’t even know where our ‘global temps’ come from!

Wax on…wax off…
And this fall is shaping up to be a repeat of last year. Got your long johns ready? Global warming can be bitterly cold.
I could not buy long johns locally last year, everyone was sold out. Look for union suits to make a comeback this winter.
Here’s a warmist article from yesterday about the “dire threat” to polar bears in Hudson Bay. It claim sea ice build up is late there again this year. I don’t have enough knowledge on the subject. Maybe some of you do. http://www.salon.com/2014/11/04/global_warmings_early_victims_watch_live_as_polar_bears_wait_for_sea_ice_to_form/
Here is Cryoshpere’s Hud Bay ice plot …. a little early to proclaim late since still the noise segment of the plot IMHO http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/IMAGES/recent365.anom.region.13.html
Here is the Canadian ice services and ice is on the median but well below the ice levels at the start of the satellite era http://ice-glaces.ec.gc.ca/prods/CVCHDCTHB/20141027180000_CVCHDCTHB_0007940332.pdf
which is normal is the question??
Here is the best polar bear site I have found http://polarbearscience.com/about-2/
Two big lies perpetuated in that article (but thanks for the heads-up!): Environment Canada says there are 1000-1500 bears in WHB (and the Polar Bear Specialist Group says 1000) – Derocher and PBI are saying 800. Where does that number come from?
Freeze-up, according to the latest research by polar bear biologists published in peer-reviewed literature, is not “late” unless it occurs in early December. It’s early November and ice is already forming along the coast, suggesting freeze-up is not far off.
I’m ahead of their nonsense claims this year, see the posts below:

Thank you Susan
Your clarifying input is very much appreciated.
+1
Thanks for the info. I was very skeptical of the claims in that article. I guess the warmists just can’t stop themselves in trying to use the polar bear as their “canary in the coal mine” despite the facts. The polar bear cubs are so cute and cuddly.
My dog ate my global warming
No. No. The laws of Global Warming physics are on pause. You don’t realize that we can turn physics laws off and on. Sure, all the laws of thermodynamics can be shutdown or paused. It was just left out of your Freshman science books.
What happened to your blog, “Tipping Point Reached”?
There you said, “With Republicans taking over the Senate, the Sheldon Whitehouse propaganda machine is broken, and the fraudsters at NOAA and NASA perpetrating this scam through data tampering and propaganda will be taken to account.”
Something very strange happened in Maryland District 6 over a one minute period last night. Dems took nearly 100% of the vote over that minute
… gives new meaning to “Democratic Machine”?
We live in a “strange” world, Steven, and you are one of few who realize that Climategate is but the tip of a very deep, dark iceberg of government deceit.
Now that government by adults in has been restored in the USA, Fundng for scumbags like Serreze, Gavin et al can be “reviewed”
It would be good to keep track of snow extent on the northern continents. I recall that during last winter it was quite extensive. Is there a site which does that?
Perhaps something like
http://climate.rutgers.edu/snowcover/
DMI disappeared last night. Now its on again with a fall replicating last years. Highly suspect I say. The chances of that happening are?
The arctic freezes out until the shore along northern Canada and Alaska is reached (same thing on the Russian / Siberia side) and then freezing can’t continue at the same rapid pace … just no sea left to freeze up at those spots. My big question and Tony will like this one is why in the past there were years without the pause when the shore is hit … it looks like a bust in the data to me and naturally one that makes today look “unprecedented and worse than the alarmist thought” 😉
Also not really a fall but a plateau if I’m looking at the correct DMI graph.

To paraphrase Mark Twain: “The reports of its death have been greatly exaggerated.”
Analyzing the last ten years of Arctic Ice is akin to analyzing the last 18 years of global temperatures: horrific and blatant cherry-picking showing a complete disregard for data randomness. I suppose at least 10 years is a round number, so perhaps it is a bit better than 18 but regardless you are looking at the data to prove a point, not allowing the data to provide insight. That is not how real science works.
this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal……..
Don’t you know hell is freezing over after at no time in the 70 years the Republican party has held so much power, gee we found a cheap way to hold off Global Warming, vote Republican!
My comment on this at a hotair thread:
Check this out. The Chicken Littles had made declining polar ice levels (well, they talked only about the north pole) the centerpiece of their fear mongering. Now, Antarctic ice is at record levels, and Arctic ice is coming off a cyclical low from 2 years ago to now growing back to the highest in 10 years: http://stevengoddard.wordpress.com/2014/11/05/arctic-sea-ice-extent-highest-in-a-decade/
Statistics and data can be used to bolster either side. The record level talked about is “extent” which is annual seasonal coverage and has little to do with overall thickness/volume which is still in decline.
