There never was a war., But democrats are still waging one.

  2. pinroot says:

I was always sort of surprised that there was no “War on Women(TM)” while the Republicans held the White House. What better time to launch a war than when you are in power and have control? But apparently they waited until the Dems came in, and suddenly there was this “war”. Yeah, it was just another BS liberal talking point, but they sure bought into it.

  3. bleakhouses says:

See, words DO matter. In a world where “access” means “free” you can convince the electorate of anything. Its all about a brand, “Yankee Nation” “Red Sox Nation” “Democrat” “Republic” “Us” “Them;” as long you can define the other guy and separate yourself from him/her you can sell your brand.

  4. Andy DC says:

The alarmists are quickly becoming totally irrelevant. The voting public ignored their agenda and their political base was all but destroyed. They have been left all by themselves to howl at the full moon, off in their own fantasy world.

  5. au1corsair says:

53 Republicans (mostly junior) versus 45 Democrats and 2 “Independents” is a sure-fire recipe for gridlock–especially if a Democratic president will veto anything other than Democratic Party bills. Then all the blame will rain on the Republicans because that party “controls” Congress–NOT! Committee chairs go to the senior Senators and this can be used to scuttle anything that would make the Republican Party look good. For example, an investigation into the Global Warming scam requires that the committee chair (a Democrat) okay the investigation. Senator McCaskill used her authority to look into “militarizing police” rather than investigating Fast and Furious. Senator Reid is the Old Man of the Senate right now and was a powerful force in the Senate armed forces committee. There are enough Democrats in the Senate to thwart any roll-back on Progressive projects and with the President on their side can shut down the government for the next two years–and the “majority party” will be to blame.

Don’t forget Mia Love, the first Haitian-American elected to Congress, a black female Republican from Utah.

    • Ernest Bush says:

Mia Love also has the support of the tea parties. The black caucus, which went to Cuba to see communist health care up close and which then praised it, will attempt to crucify her.

    • I was thrilled last night to see her win, after last election’s heartbreak. What a fighter. I am proud to have supported her campaign.

Matt Drudge has her picture at the top of the page right now with a link to Breitbart titled:

Mia Love: New face of Change…

Love said: “I wasn’t elected because of the color of my skin. I wasn’t elected because of my gender.”

Celebrity Cherokee Woman Warrior Elizabeth Warren and some members of the Congressional Black Caucus must have an acute case of acid indigestion right now.

      • philjourdan says:

Please, as part Cherokee, refer to her by her correct title – Fauxcahontas. She has NO Cherokee ancestry. But then it is easy to fool Mass citizens.

        • 2hotel9 says:

I don’t know! Fauxcahontas’ ancestors did have Cherokee Indian blood on their hands. That has got to count for something.

        • philjourdan says:

The irony is that most native Americans have native American blood on their hands, regardless of their percentage of native American blood in their veins. So if that is her rationale, then every American who can trace an ancestor back to 19th century America or earlier is a native American.

        • 2hotel9 says:

I am! And I am Whitey McWhite from Whiteville. Can trace 4 lines of my family back to late 1600s in North America. French, English, Spanish(actually one line originated in Basque country so it is a double, French and Spanish) Dutch and Irish. All on the continent long before America was founded. Can also legally claim membership in the Mississippi Band of Choctaws since one line of family married into their tribe back when it was called West Florida and remained there after the forced removal of tribes from the region. And no, they did not own slaves and yes they fought for the Confederacy.

My grandmother was deeply into genealogy beginning in the early 1950s, and on a trip to Portugal and Spain I stood in front of a tomb with my name on it. Kinda creepy.

        • philjourdan says:

COOL! My Uncle did it for me. has traced part of our family back to the mid 16th century! But the most interesting part was from Georgia, where they were encouraging (mostly Scot-Irish) immigrants to marry their women. Hence Susquehanna Blue became one of my Many-great Grandmothers.

I have done a little on my mothers side and also traced part of that back to The Cherokee tribe. I wish I had the time to do more research. But as long as my uncle keeps at it, I know he will get most of at least one side of the family documented.

There is an excellent series of books by Don Shadburn that documents the intermarriage of the Cherokees back in the 18th and 19th centuries. I stumbled across him while checking some stuff my Uncle sent me. I bought one of his books (well worth the price) to see if he had more information on it, If you have any legs from Georgia during that time, I highly recommend his books.

        • 2hotel9 says:

I have seen his writing, have not bought any yet. Wish my grandmother was still alive, she would have loved to sit down with him. She did research in Europe and combed through records all over the south tracing us down. We are a distant line of the Lenoir family that settled a lot of the Carolinas. Have not been to a gathering there since the ’80s. Their relations with the Tribes was a bit checkered, to say the least.

Do know that one ancestor and his brother spent a couple years as guests of the Spanish Colonial Governor in St Augustine. Did not have a Royal Writ to be building a settlement in the Pascagoula River area. That, and being Huguenots. They got released and went back, then married Choctaw women because they could get no white women to go into the pine wilderness that is now south Mississippi.

        • What, no Cherokee ancestry? Does she not get any respect for an ancestor’s high cheekbones?

        • philjourdan says:

She should be respected for an idiot ancestor that got too close behind a stubborn mule?

        • philjourdan says:

If idiots were not hardy, they would have died out long ago.

        • philjourdan says:

Even when they do not survive, they vote.

        • … and that closes the loop.

An idiot-friendly government raises the idiot fertility rate, more idiots get kicked by a mule, get enlightened, become professional students, move to Boulder, meet Obama at the Sink, can’t believe it, get kicked by a mule again, become congressmen, some live, some die, but all vote again.

In the idiot mind, perfectly self-sustainable.

    • The symbolism is hard to miss. The Professor noticed it, too:

MIA LOVE GETS THE FULL-BORE DRUDGE TREATMENT

  7. Frank K. says:

The strategy now is to go after “blue dog” democrats in a BIG way. It would be easy to divide the rational, patriotic, family oriented democrats from the left-wing, progressive, Hollywood liberal elites who hate this country.

Look what happened in West Virginia…

  8. Ernest Bush says:

West Virginians only woke up after they discovered their jobs were going to go away, maybe for their entire lifetimes. If the Republicans do not take steps to rein in the EPA’s religious war on coal and, in the end, fossil fuels and stop the closing of perfectly safe coal-fired generating plants, they will lose their gains in 2016.

  9. 2hotel9 says:

Funny how us racist, misogynist haters on the righthand side of the aisle keep doing that, isn’t it?

  10. Abel Garcia says:

Sen. Ted Kennedy (Dem from MA) has the only known “KILL” on war on women!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
