The IPCC says that we have to eliminate all CO2 emissions by the year 2100. But we already tried that experiment.
In 1988, James Hansen modeled future climate based on three scenarios, with scenario C assuming no increase in atmospheric CO2 after the year 2000. Temperatures have remained below Scenario C, indicating that we are already doing better than zero emissions, and that CO2 has almost no impact on the climate.
Criminals at the IPCC and White House are ramping up desperate political lies, based on no science. Cast your vote to call them out.

re poll results: Faith in human intelligence restored…
Don’t be fooled by a small sample size and some luck guesses.
Dave – Sadly your faith is misplaced. It was level pegging until noticed by someone who will remain nameless who mentioned it on a blog.
I am amazed that anyone would believe this IPCC spouting “4 or 5 degrees by 2100”, but half the planet seems to.
The UK have insane targets. Something like 80% reduction in CO2 emissions by 2050. And that’s law – not just targets. They have bureaucrats designing and implementing regulations on the power industry to achieve it. Crazy mothers.
In the meantime, they are already talking about their being brownouts in the UK this winter. Imagine what it will be like when their insane, suicidal policies actually kick-in properly. People will die. Nobody in the north of England and Scotland can survive without heating, and that’s exactly what will happen.
When you decommission fossil fuel power supply, in the belief that wind (of course, modelled at many times above its minimum supply profile) will take up the deficit, you are screwed. You can’t just restart a mothballed coal or gas station in a week. People WILL die before the eco-nuts are consigned to history.
“People WILL die before the eco-nuts are consigned to history.”
In conversation among themselves, the eco-nuts will probably look on that as a good thing. “Hey! We got a win-win here! Fewer coal plants, fewer people!”
The UK is run by and for the Green Blob.
Just how crazy? This crazy:

The most amazing thing about this interview is that she gets completely destroyed but her tone and expressions give the sense she thinks she’s really clever and winning.
Unbelievable.
An interesting tangent to this article is Dr. Curry’s latest (a guest post by a Petroleum Geologist)
For most people humility and admitting you are wrong are two hard things to achieve.
No impact on current climate. Zip. Zero.
I just voted on the pole and it indicates 90% NO, 10% YES
And Gator, you are 100% correct that CO2 has NO effect on climate (or temperature) what-so-ever. Not a single degree, not a single 100th of a degree. As Tony’s postings continually prove out. But alas, we still have people that claim “oh, but it does a little bit” … No, it does not, as is evidenced by the multitude of empirical data, and the lack of any data demonstrating that it does. To continue to believe is such nonsense is nothing more than “faith”, much like the Tooth Fairy, Pixie Dust and Unicorns.
It actually should have a ridiculously small effect according to the science. Since the gas constant for CO2 is lower than the average for our atmosphere that means that at the same energy, density and pressure a higher percentage of CO2 means a lower temperature according to ideal gas law.
But that is taking the totally of CO2 in the atmosphere, the UN is deranged to believe that humans are the major source of this life giving gas.
I didn’t do well in Physical Chemistry 401. Can you provide a link or an explanation? Thanks in advance.
There are some good links here:

Dig up Heinz Theime’s papers (a couple of those links are broken) they’re really good. I can’t link to them for some reason WordPress kicks the comment out every time I try.
Is this poll based in Maryland? I want to ensure the touchscreen on my tablet was not calibrated by anyone there. /sarc
Good callback crack.
91% replied “NO” as of 3:45 PM EST today. We’re winning!
Yes but, how many of the 87% are qualified climate scientists 😉
