Barack Obama wants police to wear body cameras to increase community trust.
Rush has a better idea – make politicians wear body cameras to improve community trust. Obama would probably be living in an orange jump suit on the tip of Cuba.
Americans for Tax Reform produced the map showing that 146 million Americans live in all-GOP states compared to 49 million in all-Democratic states
Oh man does that one get my vote. They work for us, we should know exactly what they do. They balk, feed ’em the line they always give us when taking away another piece of freedom… “if you’re not doing anything wrong, you have nothing to worry about.”
That suggestion should be on the list at the next Constitutional Convention… which we may need sooner than later.
Lets add unannounced piss tests and standards of conduct expected of a corporal in the US Army. I added that last one because I saw the life of a young man at Ft. Sam Houston ruined because he was having sex with a trainee in his command. Yet a few years later I watched a president get away with having sexual relations with an intern which was nothing more than a trainee. And lets not even get into the national security implications of what that president did.
AMEN to both of you. (Niel and RAH)
“Obama in golf cheat shock!”
Film at 11.
But, you already have the most transparant administation ever?
While I am confident that some corrupt politicians would figure out a way around such scrutiny, I would also guess this would weed out those incapable of adequate subtlety. So Rod Blagojevich, and Terry Spicer and others might expect some more company. I notice on the wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_American_state_and_local_politicians_convicted_of_crimes that the (D)s outnumber the (R)s by about 162 to 94.
Rush is wrong! If politicians wore body cameras it would NOT improve community trust.
I would go one step further and say that anytime an elected or appointed individual in government does anything at all associated with their job it should be witnessed and recorded and become public record.
Body cameras on politicans would build confidence the same way the Climategate emails built confidence in the United Nations and the worldwide network of National Academies of Science – including those in Sweden and Norway that gave Nobel Prizes to the world’s outstanding scientists and politicians.
Birds of a feather
Flock together !
I would prefer they wore a shock collar and I have the controller.
When I was instructor at SOMED I told the trainees that if they wore training collars and we instructors had the controller the attrition rate would drop from 66% to less than 10%. And I honestly believed and still believe that was the case.
Funny how negative feedback works so much better than positive feedback as long as it is properly and judiciously applied. Another liberal myth bites the dust.
I was just about to add that those shock collars and controllers should be passed out to schools.
And Niel, I very much agree with you. John Lyons, a horse trainer I really like says in the case of major bad habits (Biting kicking, striking) you have a second between the action and the discipline and when you discipline in those cases you have to make the animal think you are going to kill him. You do not have to hurt them just scare them and make them realize you are a heck of a lot nastier than they are.
(For non-horse people Biting. kicking, Striking can get you killed so you treat it like you son aiming a loaded gun at you.)
This is a rear and strike. It happens as fast as a rattle snake strikes. My mare was accurate enough to knock a syringe out of my hand without touching me or me actually seeing the motion of the hoof. -SCARY!

That is the best suggestion I have heard. How about we extend it to the ‘owners of the printing press’ who are feeding us all the propaganda that gets criminals elected to office in the first place instead of the honest men they crucify in print.
Body cameras?
Seriously…do you want to see what Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters do when they aren’t around the office?
Do you want to see what Harry Reid looks like when he first wakes up?
Gah…where’s that bottle of 150 proof brain bleach!
Cops hate being filmed. placing cameras on their bodies will only end up getting covered in struggles. Here is a very recent video of cops arresting a man for filming them on his own property.

Fromthe ACLU:
I hope the guy sues the pants off the cops for false arrest.
I kind of like how Sparta did it. It would make for a lot of executions.
I always thought they needed to wear suits with all of their sponsors logos sewed on; like NASCAR drivers.
I think I would prefer shock collars.
Crime rates have declined as more states turn red and Concealed Carry permits increased. Gun deaths too.
The sad part is all those criminal trial lawyers are hungry now, begging for race riots or something to drum up more business. Hence the anti-religious Satanic displays at town halls, they want more crime to happen.
