Commies In Cuba

One of my relatives was a top lawyer in Havana, when the Castro Taliban took over. He fled with his family and barely got out with his life, then spent the rest of his life working as a librarian at an American university.

Havana was a great metropolitan city before the commies took over and completely wrecked the place.

Well, clearly there was far too much income-inequality before Dear Leader Fidel took over and booted out Bautista.

Now, most everyone is equally poor and living in in socialized squalor.

    Viva la retribution!

One of the lab techs I worked with had a PhD in Mathematics from University of Havana. She was one very very smart lady. What an absolute waste having such talent in an industrial chemistry lab.

How many people even know that Batista was a mulatto? We haven’t seen any in government since 1960.

I was educated over many years about Cuba by an old Cuban gentleman. Among the things I learned was this: a country’s first measure of freedom is whether you are free to leave it. The country which Roberto described to me was free, as Froude described it in 1882–unimaginably corrupt but surprisingly happy and functional.

So yes the S.O.Bs want to reduce the rest of us to serfdom with lives that are brutal, ugly and short.

A socialist friend, who is a Professor in one of the N.C. colleges, even has his daughter convinced that she should not have as nice a live as he and his wife have in order to save the environment and to save the earth from CAGW.

Sustainability, the commie/climate clown buzz word to get the audience nodding their head. Yup, we have to have sustainability all right, otherwise we might run out of something someday, and because we are too stupid to use something else, we’re all gonna die. Where do I sign up?

        • Gail Combs says:

I HATE the word “Sustainability” and so do a lot of farmers who had the word stolen from them.
In farming ‘sustainable’ actually means something. You rotate crops and rotate pasture/cropland/forest to rebuild the soil and leave you kids a productive farm.

In politics ‘Sustainability’ is just another hobgoblin under the bed used to scare the sheeple with.

“…the whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by an endless series of hobgoblins, most of them imaginary.” — H.L. Mencken

If you look at human history from the Shaman and his eclipses and foretelling of the seasons to the Climastrologists and there computer games models, those in power have used knowledge and fear to kept the people in line and wealth flowing in their direction. Only this time there is no real knowledge and too many of the people can see the manipulator behind the curtain has feet of clay.

Too bad that part of human history is never ever taught.

All that was done AFTER The Tiananmen Square Massacre of 1989, where unarmed students were gunned down.

The Epoch Times is an interesting news source and worth checking out.

Freedom of the press and humanity are the foundation of The Epoch Times; our beginnings hailed from a great need to provide uncensored news to a people immersed in propaganda and censorship in China.

Having witnessed events like Tiananmen Square and the persecution of the spiritual group Falun Gong, and at a great risk to themselves and their loved ones, a group of Chinese-Americans started publishing The Epoch Times in the Chinese language in the U.S. Some reporters in China were jailed, and some suffered severe torture.

Integrity and truthfulness in reporting, together with the stories that really matter, are cornerstones to The Epoch Times.

The first English edition launched online in 2003 followed by the first print edition in 2004. Our beginnings have instilled in The Epoch Times staff an unwavering commitment to objective reporting and socially responsible business practices, as well as respect for human rights and freedom….

It’s very telling how global trade interests are more important than human rights or civil liberties, to Dems. …. before the commies took over and completely wrecked the place.
I suspect they will be saying exactly the same thing about America in 50 years’ time.

    • Gail Combs says:

We are already saying it now. Except it is the Fabian Progressives that took over the place.

U.S. Standard of Living Has Fallen More Than 50%

…On several occasions, I have glibly referred to how it now takes two spouses working to equal the wages of a one-income family of 40 years ago. Unfortunately, that is now an understatement. In fact, Western wages have plummeted so low that a two-income family is now (on average) 15% poorer than a one-income family of 40 years ago….

.Federal Regulations Have Made You 75 Percent Poorer
The growth of federal regulations over the past six decades has cut U.S. economic growth by an average of 2 percentage points per year, according to a new study in the Journal of Economic Growth. As a result, the average American household receives about $277,000 less annually than it would have gotten in the absence of six decades of accumulated regulations—a median household income of $330,000 instead of the $53,000 we get now….

      .

      • Beale says:

        Add this:
The bottom line is that, in terms of gold, wages have fallen by about 87 percent. To get a stronger sense of what that means, consider that back in 1965, the minimum wage was 71 ounces of gold per year. In 2011, the senior engineer earned the equivalent of 63 ounces in gold. So, measured in gold, we see that senior engineers now earn less than what unskilled laborers earned back in 1965.

        http://www.forbes.com/sites/realspin/2013/10/09/measured-in-gold-the-story-of-american-wages-is-an-ugly-one/

        • Gail Combs says:

yes I did that comparison in 2006. Gold may be volatile (It is the last resort for stashing cash when the fecal material maybe hitting the rotating blade.) but it has been in use, successfully for thousands of years across many cultures. That is why the US Constitution explicitly stated GOLD and SILVER. The London Banksters were already well known to the founding fathers.

” A disordered currency is one of the greatest of evils. It wars against industry, frugality, and economy. And it fosters the evil spirits of extravagance and speculation. Of all the contrivances for cheating the laboring classes of mankind, none has been more effectual than that which deludes them with paper money. This is one of the most effectual of inventions to fertilize the rich man’s field by the sweat of the poor man’s brow. Ordinary tyranny, oppression, excessive taxation: These bear lightly the happiness of the mass of the community, compared with fraudulent currencies and robberies committed with depreciated paper.” – Sen. Daniel Webster, during the debate over the reauthorization of the Second National Bank of the U.S. in 1832
          link

Now look at the quote from Senator Aldrich the Sponsor of the first iteration of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. (It was originally the Aldrich bill.)

‘Of all the contrivances for cheating the laboring classes of mankind, none is so effectual as that which deludes them with paper money. It is the most perfect expedient ever invented for fertilizing the rich man’s fields by the sweat of the poor man’s brow. Ordinary tyranny, oppression, excessive taxation, these bear lightly on the happiness of the community compared with fraudulent currencies and the robberies committed by depreciated paper. Our own history has recorded enough, and more than enough, of the demoralizing tendency, the injustice and intolerable oppression on the virtuous and well disposed, of a degraded paper currency, authorized by law, or in any way countenanced by Government.”
~ Nelson W. Aldrich, United States Senator, at a New York City dinner speech on October 15, 1913 IV Proceedings of the Academy of Political Science #1, at 38 (Columbia University, New York (1914)).

Any commodity who’s value is determined on a market will be volatile at one time or another. But unlike most commodities the average person has the ability to physically possess a very valuable amount of precious metals or stones. I did very well in Gold a few years back and intend to physically hold a minimum of 10% of my net worth in such types of physical wealth as long as I’m still kicking.

        • Gail Combs says:

          rah,
I mention the fact gold is not completely stable because I have had a few go rounds with E.M. Smith on the subject of gold as currency. He does not like gold, but then he is an economist by training.

I like gold because it helps keep the b@$t@rds honest better than fiat currency does. Also if the gold becomes more ‘valuable’ that is a signal to get out the pan and start panning for gold…. (Reminds me to take a look at the streams on my property.)

An interesting analysis of the current gold market: http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2014/12/22/lawless-manipulation-bullion-markets-public-authorities-paul-craig-roberts-dave-kranzler/

          Also of note:

Rothschild to pull out of gold market after 200 years
The investment bank that has chaired the London meetings setting the world gold price since 1919 is quitting the market.

NM Rothschild will withdraw from all its commodity trading activities, which also include an oil trading business set up less than two years ago, as part of a strategic review.

The move brings to an end nearly 200 years of tradition. NM Rothschild was founded in London in 1810 by Nathan Mayer Rothschild, who helped finance the Duke of Wellington’s army in the Napoleonic wars through gold trading.

The company hosts and chairs twice-daily meetings which effectively set the world’s gold price……

That is how the Rothschilds managed to suck all the gold out of Fort Knox.

          Gail

First got into the stuff when I was a kid collecting coins and putting together the sets and buying the proof sets from the US mint every year. Though I continued to collect stuff with numismatic value I started to also acquire a few small bullion bars. The very first gold I bought was a little antique gold token from Mexico. Still have it.

But the funny thing is the set I value most is not gold or coins or bills, not that old, and at least right now, not nearly as valuable as some other things in my collection. It’s one of these in my name given to me by an uncle with who I shared the same name. http://goldsmithworks.com/ebay/US-REVOLUTION-SILVER-INGOTS/

It is a wonderful piece that I will never give up until I pass it to my Son someday. Funny how that works.

The Pilgrims tried Communism in the 1620s it flopped big time and Governor William Bradford gave up…

” in 1623 Bradford abolished socialism. He gave each household a parcel of land and told them they could keep what they produced, or trade it away as they saw fit. In other words, he replaced socialism with a free market, and that was the end of the famines…

Many early groups of colonists set up socialist states, all with the same terrible results. At Jamestown, established in 1607, out of every shipload of settlers that arrived, less than half would survive their first twelve months in America. Most of the work was being done by only one-fifth of the men, the other four-fifths choosing to be parasites. In the winter of 1609–10, called “The Starving Time,” the population fell from five-hundred to sixty. Then the Jamestown colony was converted to a free market, and the results were every bit as dramatic as those at Plymouth.

It has flopped and killed people ever since then when ever tried:. DEMOCIDE: Death by Government

Absolutely! If people only knew a small spattering of history, they’d see how insane any form of collectivism is.

I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s never meant to work–certainly not the way it’s stated, but not even the way it turns out.
It’s touted as a plan to equalize and empower the people. It’s designed in fact to create an oligarchy; to foster neo-feudalism.

But its real end is far beyond that, because the “elite” are such sociopaths they end up eating each other after they’ve eaten the middle class.

Its REAL purpose is power, death, and destruction–and it’s the brainchild of a deeply malevolent spirit.

        • Gail Combs says:

It is most certainly all about creating neo-feudalism.

The brainchild of a deeply malevolent spirit? I do not know about that but it very much attracts the Sociopaths. Not only that but those sociopaths search out and train more sociopaths to carry on.

Pg. 950: There does exist, and has existed for a generation, an international Anglophile network which operates, to some extent, in the way the … Right believes the Communists act. In fact, this network, which we may identify as the Round Table Groups, has no aversion to cooperating with the Communists, or any other groups, and frequently does so. I know of the operations of this network because I have studied it for twenty years and was permitted for two years, in the early 1960’s, to examine its papers and secret records. I have no aversion to it or to most of its aims and have, for much of my life, been close to it and to many of its instruments. I have objected, both in the past and recently, to a few of its policies (notably to its belief that England was an Atlantic rather than a European Power and must be allied, or even federated, with the United States and must remain isolated from Europe), but in general my chief difference of opinion is that it wishes to remain unknown, and I believe its role in history is significant enough to be known.

Clinton was not surprisingly a Rhodes Scholar. The Round Tables are the Cecil Rhodes-Milner Round Tables such as the Council on Foreign Relations(CFR) and the Committee on Economic Development (CED) CED orchestrated the destruction of US independent farmers and thereby pushed people into cities where they are dependent on the corporations or the government and have no hope of being independent.

    • This time, it’ll work. Because we’ll have the Right People in charge.

The best version on the theme I’ve ever heard was some 20-25 years ago on the excellent Ken Hamblin Show. The “Black Avenger” interviewed one Steve Montoya, a Colorado Commie, who dedicated himself to create the collective paradise to the United States. When Ken challenged him and asked why Communism should work here when it had never worked anywhere else, this Steve Montoya character replied confidently:

“We are Americans, we can make everything work.”

It’s been a long time and I may have gotten a few details wrong but I remember pounding the steering wheel of my commuter car and shouting something like:

“F*cking A, Genosse Montoya! Avanti! You got the guts to say it! National Socialism! It works better! Holy Benito! American exceptionalism, Nazi version!”

I was yelling so much that I missed what Ken told him but I trust it was good.

      —–

Ken’s been off the air for over a decade now. I wonder what he says about current affairs. I once spoke with him as he was leaving a gun shop in Denver on his Harley. He grew up in Brooklyn, his parents were immigrants from Barbados and his father was a cop. He used to play Taps for fallen policemen on his show and called liberals “egg-sucking dogs”.

      I miss him.

      —–

Watch Ken in front of a disagreeable Progressive audience on the Chris Rock show. The morons don’t have a clue—and don’t want to hear—that after being discharged from the 101st Airborne, Hamblin went on to get farm workers registered to vote in North Carolina:

Colorado, I am not willing to attribute to a ‘malevolent spirit’ what can easily be explained by massive greed for power, wealth and complete control. It is also very obvious that type of personality can be passed down from one generation to the next as can be seen in North Korea.

What is relatively new is the coordination among the sociopaths. I say ‘relatively’ because this all traces back a couple hundred years, maybe more.

Heck all you have to do is look at the Rothschild dynasty with a rumored $500 Trillion dollar worth— About 1/2 the world’s total wealth.

        Marx died broke and powerless…..

He was a tool and lucky he did not end up dead prematurely. Remember he was financed by his uncle a wealthy banker Benjamin Philips. Benjamin’s sister, the mother of Karl Marx retained her Jewish faith. (I normally never mention the faith since it is irrelevant except for the fact the original Rothschilds were persecuted because they were Jews and once you do mention faith you give the PC crowd a target.)

This from a leftist is rather interesting:

….Marx was born into the Jewish business class. His father was a lawyer, for businesses, and he owned vinyards. His maternal grandfather was a textile merchant and banker. His grandmother’s first cousin married Nathan Rothschild, founder of the British branch of the Rothschild banking dynasty. Lion Philips’ brother Benjamin was a “banker and industrialist”. Lion’s son Frederick was a banker….
        http://www.discussionist.com/?com=view_post&forum=1015&pid=61017

I was not aware that the ties between Karl Marx and the Rothschilds were so close although I figured there were ties within the Jewish banking community.

Remember in 1915 it was the J.P. Morgan, powder (as in gun powder) steel and ship building who grabbed control of the US news papers and made sure the USA entered WWI

      U.S. Congressional Record February 9, 1917, page 2947
In March, 1915, the J.P. Morgan interests, the steel, ship building and powder interests and their subsidiary organizations, got together 12 men high up in the newspaper world and employed them to select the most influential newspapers in the United States and sufficient number of them to control generally the policy of the daily press in the United States.

“These 12 men worked the problems out by selecting 179 newspapers, and then began, by an elimination process, to retain only those necessary for the purpose of controlling the general policy of the daily press throughout the country….

Shortly after that Senator Charles Lindbergh had his books destroyed by government agents.

Your Country At War and What Happens To You After A War
      by Charles A. Lindbergh Sr.

On a spring day in 1918 several government agents entered a printshop at Washington, D. C., where the original edition of this book was being printed. “Destroy all the Lindbergh plates in your plant,” they told the head of the institution. He was forced to comply. The hysteria of war-time brooked no delays. Not only were the plates of this book “Why Is Your Country at War ?“ destroyed, but also the plates of Congressman Lindbergh’s book “Banking and Currency,” written in 1913 and attacking the big bankers and Federal Reserve Law. So was the pat painstaking effort of months wiped out. Only a few hundred copies of this book had been printed, and they were sent to Minnesota for use in Congressman Lindbergh’s campaign for the governorship of that state

Isolationism and the Foreign New Deal by Murray N. Rothbard
[This article is taken from chapter 5 of The Betrayal of the American Right.]

…While most of the isolationists temporized, favoring some aid to Britain and worrying about a possible German attack on the United States, Lindbergh clearly and consistently advocated absolute neutrality and hoped for a negotiated peace in Europe. The matter was made still more piquant because Lindbergh was in a way a “traitor to his class,” since his wife, Anne Morrow, also a distinguished opponent of the war, was the daughter of a leading Morgan partner and virtually the only member of her family and circle not enthusiastic about the war.

After many months of unremitting abuse (e.g., the ultrainterventionist playwright Robert E. Sherwood had flatly called Lindbergh a “Nazi” in the august pages of the New York Times), Lindbergh calmly mentioned the specific forces that were driving the United States toward war.
