The fraudsters at The Guardian claim that this was Europe’s hottest year ever, due to “greenhouse gas emissions.” Only problem is – it wasn’t hot this year in Europe.
Europe’s record hot year made at least 35 times more likely by climate change, say scientists | Environment | The Guardian
The average maximum temperature in France this summer was just above average, and the frequency of hot days was below average.
The morons at the Guardian live in Europe. They didn’t notice that it wasn’t hot? Perhaps they consider mild winter temperatures to be “hot.”
If the Guardian articles are the work of morons, we need a new descriptive word for those who leave comments.
Idiots, whack jobs, imbeciles nah, inadequate.
Something more accurate….?
serfs… slaves…. zombies?
Dead eyes.
European Heatwave Caused 35,000 Deaths

“At least 35,000 people died as a result of the record heatwave that scorched Europe in August 2003, says an environmental think tank.”

The jet stream shows severe weather in the vicinity of the Great Lakes. The collision of very cold and warm air is likely to result a strong snowstorm.

I live in the UK and we did have a good summer, though it was nothing like 1976, which was phenomenal.
No it was a lovely summer 20-27 usually not “hot” though – rarely if ever got above 30C
I visited the UK in 1976. The weather was so dry we got to walk into a cave that was dry as a bone. Usually the entrance was under water and you had to dive through the sump. I even got a sunburn!
Down around the sump – Hmmmm….
Guardian says the research is not yet published or peer reviewed. They usually demand peer review, and suggest non-peer reviewed stuff be ignored!?

I forgot to add, people here were saying we were having a proper summer at last, because we’ve had some pretty dismal ones of late. The mild weather has continued into autumn, makes up for the terrible seasons we’ve had in recent years. I will give you the difference in temperatures I experienced over the past three days. Monday night freezing, Tuesday night +6.5c, Wednesday night +12.5c.
It was not close to a record in any place humans live. Even Oz, where they proclaimed it, is all adjustments by BOM.

Some stupid things are just beyond comment!
Except for one outlier year (2003), there is very little there to chew on.
As I said yesterday, we in this country finally had a proper summer, it was a lot warmer than recent dismal years (For several years running the Met office promised us a barbecue summer, which were all rained out) It has been mild this autumn, but it is simply not in contention with 1976 or around the turn of the century. The problem we face is in the UK is because of the last 6 years of not very good weather, people will be mistaken for thinking this normal summer and milder autumn is due to ‘terrifying,’ global warming. They tried to blame last winter’s floods on climate change, when the idiots in the environment department even purposely flooded fields prior to the storms, to encourage a natural habitat. You couldn’t make it!
Sophie, remember when the great estates of England all decided to eliminate the peasants and turn their farms which they tilled since the Anglo Saxon days, into pastures for sheep?
The SAME PROCESS is happening now! Note that your ‘Prince Charles’ is leading the charge of eliminating as many peasants as possible and to protect ‘nature’ aka, their estates. This is why they, for example, flooded many small towns and suburban homes. Note they didn’t turn their great estates into flood zones!
