The Jakobshavn Climate Scam

Check out this mindless BS from the usual Arctic hysterics, about a “record glacial retreat”

Jakobshavn record retreat – Arctic Sea Ice

This is a glacier which retreated one meter per day from 1851 to 1883

The terminus of the glacier is almost identical to two years ago.

For scale, look at what an incredibly minuscule event this is.

Meanwhile, the Petermann Glacier in Northern Greenland is rapidly growing.

Alaska’s largest glacier retreated almost 10 feet per day from 1760 to 1860.

As always, the climate scamsters are generating hysterics over absolutely nothing.

Thanks, Steven, for confronting false global climate propaganda with reality.

  3. Rosco says:

It is obvious the whole glacial retreat alarm is bullshit – her is evidence of a forest some 4000 years ago buried by Mendenhall glacier and now they trees are being uncovered again.

It is not possible for Mendenhall Glacier’s current retreat to be “unprecedented” – the glacier has obviously advanced huge distances as the much warmer climate 4000 years ago began to cool and the glacier advanced and commenced burying an entire forest.

  4. Andy DC says:

The global warming/climate change “movement” has devolved into a corrupt political lobby, filching the treasury based on ridiculous propaganda, fear and lies.

  5. angech2014 says:

These stories always come out at the end of summer when glaciers are most likely to calve.
