reminds me of a cartoon I cannot find. A father and his little boy are walking down a snow shoveled sidewalk barely knee deep to the father who is speaking -“This is nothing. When I was your age the snow was waist deep!”. Of course the snow IS waist deep to the little boy.
I check my area weather almanac regularly and most often find the record temperature highs were in the last century. Today’s record high was set 1925 and the ytd high average temp set in 1911.
