Global warming is caused by the billions of dollars being funneled into people who have no skills outside of making up global warming propaganda. They depend on the money for their personal survival, because they have almost no hope of getting a job doing anything useful.
My solution :
- Offer a large reward to the first ten alarmist scientists willing to come clean.
- Replace global warming activism funding with a welfare program. It would be much cheaper in the long run.
- Cut off research funding for anything with the terms “climate change” or “global warming.” Make scientific neutrality be an absolute requirement for obtaining research grants.

If one just used 1% of the expences used on climate cange today where spent purely on research in new energy forms as cold fusion etcetc. i would expect som progress on these areas?

Not so sure about cold fusion, but other forms of fusion research are quite promising.
Frank – the object of green energy research is not to find solutions – it is to drag out the work as long as possible so that the grants continue.
If they found a solution, they would actually have to do some work and market it.
If the science is settled then why do we have more research into it?

I think I’d be a touch more punitive, my friend. Grand Jury for Hansen & Schmidt, confiscation of all IP address activity from their state funded machines. Full blown audit of all their “work”. Then work from their emails and expand the investigation. Each climate clown that comes clean would get a chance at parole someday.
Then the public evisceration to justify that which comes next:
Everything related to carbon – Trading, regulations, renewable subsidies and mandates – Fed/State/Local – all banned.
Construct and convey a long term energy strategy to the public. Then floor it in re- development of our energy infrastructure. There’s nothing like cheap energy to drive the economy.
There is no need whatsoever to harm the environment in doing this. Good stewardship must be part of the strategy. (So we can still enjoy those Aspen hills you posted…. 🙂
Their very jobs hang on global warming being valid. That is why they are prepared to lie and manipulate the figures. UHI, no problem. Thermostats at airport tarmacs, ideal. Blame cold on weather, blame heat on climate change. B*llocks.
