Anything to stop the spread of toxic CO2.
Disrupting the Borg is expensive and time consuming!

Something with ‘enhanced potential’ is a serious contender? Let’s just LEAP to conclusions! Not a word on how these rudder-ensnaring, fish-bashing superkites will magically spin this “turbine”, which apparently has been modified to serve a different purpose. Maybe from a mothballed thermal plant?
Gad, the more I read the above snippet, the more convinced I am of its creation by an elementary school student.
Next Idea. Set off huge nuclear bombs underwater, then harness the energy of the resulting tunami. Wait a minute, set off nuclear air bursts, then use solar panels to capture the resulting flash and convert that to electricity. I’m on a roll, I can come up with real stupid Ideas too!
More feel good pie in the sky nonsense.

What happens when one of these Dr. Seuss aerosol boats collides with the water kites? Pretty messy deal. Very hinkie ideas from these geniuses.
We have horrible corrosion and wear problems right now with windmills that are in air. Shelf life of wind turbines before severe replacement maintenance is less than 5 years.
Imagine what happens in the salt water? I guess these “kites” would have to be made of high strength and corrosion resistant non-ferrous alloys, like Nitronic or Duplex Stainless. These are Chromium Nickel Molybdenum alloys, with 25% Cr and 10% Ni, or thereabouts, with zero iron. Let’s see, Cr is about $3000/ton, Mo and Ni each about $25,000/ton, and iron about $200/ton. How do the economics work out for you, geniuses?
about $50 a kwh…………..
such a deal
As a former fisherman, don’t forget the toxic paint (anti-foul) needed to keep marine organisms from clogging the works…even the impeller on my jet power unit fouled up regularly.
We call them drag lines when fishing.
I wonder who gets to sort out the inevitable mega-tangle?
