Hiding The Dust Bowl In Iowa

More on Clarinda, Iowa. The blue line is the measured thermometer data. As you can see, the 1930s was very hot there. The red line shows temperatures after USHCN adjustments.

The Dust Bowl is gone, through the magic of government software.

    How odd..
The measured data shows temperatures going down since 1920…
..the adjusted data show it going up

now who would have thought? /snark

Why do all of these old-timers, who grew up in the 1930’s Depression & Dust Bowl era, keep whining about those times. As they can clearly see now, via the USHCN adjustments, things weren’t nearly so bad back then, at least temperature-wise.

Quit complaining, and focus on what our grandchildren will have to endure, during coming decades of extreme warmcold, wetdry, etc..

You mean grandpa really didn’t walk to school in two feet of snow uphill, both directions……

      • Mike Davis says:

My Grandpa on my father’s side spent his entire life without electricity in his house. He was a fundamentalist minister and thought it was a work of the devil. My Mom’s parents would not allow a radio and refused to visit their own children if they found a radio while on a visit.
You left out the ten miles to the school house! 😉 I have seen where they went to school and where they walked! I now live three miles from where my Great Grand Mother was raised and the school building she went to recently burned down.

So what reasons are given for those adjustments and how valid are those reasons? Do the people who make these adjustments reveal their rationalizations? Are they not held accountable by those interested in the science of “climate change”?

    • Mike Davis says:

      Alf:
It is the research of climate change and would not exist if not for the adjustments. NO Science involved!
Every adjustment is rationalized from every angle and you could get ten answers to any one question depending on who you ask and what the party line is currently!
