Huffington Post made this claim a few days ago.
Maine’s temperatures rose 1.9 degrees Celsius in the last century and another 2.24 degree rise is projected by 2104.
I pointed out that wasn’t correct. There has been no warming in Maine, even after NCDC’s 0.6F upwards adjustment.
Look at the progression of stupidity by team HuffPo, and in particular the last comment.
These people can’t really be as stupid as they pretend to be. Here is the NCDC data plotted in Excel. Exactly the same as their graph.

Exactomundo… because they are, in fact, simply lying. ‘Misunderstanding’ is the standard cop-out for an exposed liar – to accuse them of what they are obviously doing, i.e. lying, is to make ‘debate impossible’, because you ‘don’t respect them’ – damn right on that last, at least.
One time I posted a plot showing MSU declining temperatures on Joe Romm’s blog and I was accused of penciling in the trend line myself. They are completely detached from reality. Climate alarmists can never be convinced to give up their religious views, my goal is to get open minded people in the general public to see the alarmists are FOS.

I used to comment on the Washington Post weather site. Regardless of what information was presented, all they could talk about were NOAA charts. These are religious fanatics and their adjusted NOAA charts are their Scriptures.

I think they are so conditioned to believe in global warming that their minds cannot accept facts that go against their beliefs.
I believe the term you’re looking for is “willful ignorance” and when coupled with their arrogance it is pretty much unbelievable.
When I was young I always thought grownups were logical and reasonable – show’s just how stupid I was as a kid.
