Another brilliant study, except that winter snow cover is increasing.
Ah, but they would respond non-linearly if snowpack did decline.
May have to wait some time to test that hypothesis.
In fairness, as the study specifies ‘winter snowpack declined between 1970 and 2004’
the graph and the trend should be set for that period.
Whether there was more than usual population fluctuation during that period or whether the snowpack correlation was more than minimal is unfortunately hidden behind the paywall.
But July snowcover is decreasing!
lets not look at hunting, trapping or land use changes…
