My Anthony Theory

I don’t have any more information than you do, but I am going to make this prediction.

Anthony will release a new temperature record (like GISS or CRU or Best) using clean, untampered with data. That would really upset people like Hansen who have devoted much of their life to creating completely fictional temperature graphs.

I might be totally off base – as I also predicted that Italy would beat Spain.  ;^)

That’s along the same lines as what I’m thinking as well.

  2. gregole says:

Hey dude – where’s my global warming? Yeah, it would be great if you are right Steven!

  3. Brian G Valentine says:

It wouldn’t matter. GISS would claim, only we know how to interpret our data. Amateurs and weekend data processors don’t know what algorithms to use.

    • Mosher keeps saying that GISS is golden. I just can’t figure out which one of the four radically different Alice Springs graphs is the golden one.

      • Brian G Valentine says:

The worst one is the best one.

      • suyts says:

It’s a puzzling thing for me. Mosh often appears intelligent. But, then he’ll say the adjustments, which are unidirectional …. always, are righteous. Odds say this is a near impossibility. It’s prolly cause he doesn’t want to admit he’s wrong.

      • Sundance says:

Steve if surface thermometers are indicating that surface temperatures from 1979 to present are warming at a rate 1.5 times greater than the Tropospheric temperatures, how is that possible given that the AGW theory is modeled based on the Troposhere warming at a rate 1.2 times greater than the surface globally and 1.5 greater over the tropics???

    • Marian says:

The only acceptable temp algorithm to GISS is the Al-Gore-ithm.

  4. Baa Humbug says:

The announcement being ‘unprecedented’, according to Anthony, rules out anything to do with FOIA.
Suspending the blog alltogether seems over the top if it’s just an announcement of a new paper or study.
I have my money on an insider providing Anthony with info. Perhaps evidence of tampering with temps etc. Maybe someone at GISS got a conscience.

It is over one of his projects he wants to complete and post about in two days.By temporarily shutting down his blog he can be free of having to watch over it and get his project done much faster.

The Climategate scandal that surfaced in 2009 – and the responses of world leaders, leaders of scientific organizations, the news media and major research journals – simply confirmed our most frightening conclusion from a long series of misrepresentations by government-funded scientists.

After Hiroshima and Nagasaki were destroyed in Aug 1945, the United Nations was established in Oct 1945 and government science became a tool of propaganda to obscure information on the energy stored in cores of atoms, stars and galaxies.

Here’s a CSPAN recording of NASA hiding data from the 1995 probe of Jupiter until confronted at a 1998 news conference:

    • _Jim says:

Point of order omanuel: Contrary to an implied conspiracy to obscure the data, there appears there were agreements in contracts that allowed exclusive access (‘exclusivity’) to said data for analysis (ostensibly I would say by the sponsoring body or organization who was contracted to do the work on whatever sensor they were responsible) for a period of time after which said data would be ‘released’ for access outside the original contractor …

That’s what I gathered from the Youtube clip posted above; I saw no conspiracy but perhaps forgetfulness on the part of those holding data and the need for a gentle reminder or memoranda to the appropriate parties involved to get things moving, but no, no over-arching conspiracy to hide data …

He anticipates media requests. It probably has something to do with the Fell et al paper AND the release of more BEST news this coming week. I’m going to guess that Muller comes off looking like a “I call ’em as I see ’em” observer confirming some point they are trying to make in the paper. Whatever it is, he believes it will wound the CAGW monster in some way.
Nothing much will probably come from this but it will possibly give us another fun way to taunt and mock our pathetic opponents. Lord knows, the most fun is getting right in some True Believer’s face and spitting in it. While giving them a wedgie.

  8. Jimmy Haigh says:

What is a “wedgie”? I’ve seen the term used here and at CA recently. Is it an Americanism?

  9. RobertvdL says:

He discovered Osama Obama and most of the members of congress are aliens, here to destroy the Earth.

    just guessing.

  10. philjourdan says:

Italy DID beat Spain – just not the year you predicted. 😉

  11. Well, if Anthony doesn’t do that, it looks like you could, Steve.

Another possibility is that someone gave away the keys to the FOIA and Anthony is scanning emails for keywords for the next big Climategate release. The term “something has happened” was used before when someone liberated some Climategate emails as I recall. On the other hand, the fast way would be to release the passphrase and crowdsource the investigation, since everyone already has the locked file.

  12. BarryW says:

“– as I also predicted that Italy would beat Spain. ;^)”

But Italy must have won. Your model predicted it. What are you going to believe reality or your model? ;^)
