  1. Looks like you left out the bit about the total acres burned being the second highest on record and the acres burned per fire as the largest on record. So not as many but the ones we get are much larger and destructive. Sounds pretty consistent with global warming, Stephen. I guess you’d rather be an ostrich than a chicken little.

    • 2012 has had the fewest number of fires in the last twenty years. There were some large grass fires this year which increased acreage. Grass grows back in a few weeks. Go back to burying your head.
