In 2008, Mark Serreze forecast an ice free North Pole due to the thin ice, which prompted Lewis Pugh to set out in a kayak. He only made it a few miles.
NASA’s top Arctic expert said that the whole Arctic was looking to be gone by 2012, and the Navy’s top expert said 2013 was conservative.
The North Pole still seems to be covered with ice four years later, but alarmists are excited about the prospect that some meaningless number with a +/- 20% variance in interpretation may come in slightly below the same meaningless number from 2007.

Also, PIOMAS tells us that the ice is less than half as thick as it was in 2008, the year it was supposed to melt out because it was so thin.

Regardless of how the alarmists try to spin it, that is a big healthy looking hunk of ice.
The price on Arctic experts should be coming waaaaaay down. Pretty soon they won’t even be able to give them away!
We have about 3 weeks and 4 days until we finally get an ice-free Arctic. That’s plenty of time for positive feedback mechanism to melt it all away. Never mind the recent storm just think about a trace gas and all that magnified atmospheric heat it’s creating. 😉
